Lipper International Acacia Curved Serving Tray, 19.88" x 14" x 2.5"

These were expensive but worth it. They are beautifully made and do not scratch. They are sturdy and have a beautiful coloring and shine.

Initially I thought this was a bit pricey but the reviews were good so...As soon as I unpacked this tray, which was well packaged, we were very pleasantly surprised. Nice quality and form factor. Large enough for our quite large dinner plates and extras.Well crafted and honestly it's nice enough to just be an accent piece. But we use ours daily.

I got this tray because of the longer than normal dimensions. I can easily fit 2 pies, desserts, casserole dishes, etc. side by side without any overlap making transport easy. The finish is quite slick making cleanup easy but you will need to put a dish towel or something under the dishes to minimize sliding, which if you're transporting hot dishes you would anyway hopefully. It also has nice high sides on it to lower the worry of sliding off of the tray. The wood itself, staining and finish are beautiful. My sister saw mine and immediately ordered herself one. A necessity of any gathering.

These are lovely, sturdy, and just the right size - I was worried it would be too big but will be perfect for carrying a dinner plate, side plate, and glass from the kitchen. Note, I got these in "like new" condition from the Amazon Warehouse seller (which still has the usual 30 day return policy, btw), so they were only around $26 each. They seem to be exactly what I'd have gotten at full price. So definitely check out the open box/warehouse options! Only the packaging had been retaped.I had hoped for a set but decided I'll return one of them because there's just too much variation between them for my taste (see pics). But it might not bother most others (and some might actually prefer the contrasting colors of the one on the left, which is what I'm returning.) There are a couple of very small rough spots on both of them, but not enough for me to think I'd easily get a splinter or something. These do look nicer in person (and are definitely not "orange" as a couple of people stated). I've included photos of the two with and without flash.Natural variations in wood are totally normal, so I won't dock stars for that. It's part of what makes wood beautiful! But it would be nice if they sold these in sets of two that were paired to be at least more similar to each other.I'd originally been looking at the most popular tray, that faux leather covered one in a bunch of different colors, which even new isn't that much cheaper than this acacia tray if getting it 'like new'. The popular, cheaper one turned out to be made from carcinogenic material (had that California prop 65 warning, apparently). If I'm going to be serving food on this, even if on a plate, it's just not worth the cancer exposure risk. Stick with healthy, safe wood (and the website does say this tray is treated with a food safe coating!) I just really hope it actually IS sustainably harvested.

I am very happy with this tray. It is large so it fits nicely on my oversized ottoman. I place drinks on it, and it is sturdy enough to keep them secure even when my dogs walk across the ottoman. Very impressed and it looks great.

This is a nice tray, and the size and shape is perfect for eating on the couch. Big enough for a full size round plate, a drink, maybe a small salad bowl too. The build quality is good. The finish is ok, but it doesn't seem to have much shine to it. The only real problem is that it's just not nearly as dark as the picture would have you believe.The photo shows this nice dark walnut finish that everybody loves. The actual product is several shades lighter. Still pleasant, but just not nearly as dark and rich looking as the photo would have you believe. If that doesn't bother you, then by all means, this is a decent tray. It's not dead smooth like a finely sanded and perfectly finished item, but I'm not complaining. However, if you want the dark walnut look, this isn't it out of the box. You could always add some stain I suppose, and a poly wax finish.

A beautiful way to organize clutter on your coffee table.

I got this as a TV tray to sit in my lap. I know some people use them on an ottoman with accessories or books, or use them to put drinks and snacks on when having guests over, and this would be wonderful for that. I love the high sides, the wood looks gorgeous and the tray is easy to carry with enough heft to emphasize the fact that this is not a cheaply made tray. It is thick enough to appear like you spent more money than it costs, and the color is rich and pleasing. The holes for the handles are above the bottom of the tray, so nice just in case you spill something. For me, it makes eating on it more enjoyable than just a plain tray. There are many ways to use the tray, and I'm sure crafts/beading while watching TV is another option and if you leave it out, it looks like part of the decor. Love it!!!
