What are the dimensions of the shelves themselves?

I eventually returned this item but as I stated in my earlier post, "The previous shelves were 5 3/4 inch deep and these were closer to 4 inches. The thickness of the shelves were closer to 1/4 inch compared to 1/2 on the older ones." I still have my original two Atlantic shelves, but I replaced my main DVD Blu-Ray collection shelves with 2-Leslie Dame 1500 Oak shelves and couldn't be happier. Are the shelves adjustable?

Yes, there are holes along the entire length and pins can be aded to any level to make shelves adjustable. I have it set up so the first column holds CD's and the 2nd and 3rd column hold our DVD's/Blu rays (which are obviously taller than the cd's). Just make sure you have lots of room to build this. Instructions indicate you need to lie the unit flat on the floor to build then stand upright once it is constructed.

What's the actual depth of the selves?

Sorry for delay - moving house. Inside back to front edge is 5 3/4". Only the mid-height stabilization shelf is that deep. The footer is deeper, but actual depth of the included shelves is 4 5/8". Standard DVD cases hang over a bit, but makes for easy removal. I recommend getting 2 "I" braces to hold the side top/bottom side sections together (if you ever have to move it!)

The dimensions seem to differ depending on what year you bought one. what is the depth of the adjustable shelves as of 2020? do dvds stick out?
