PRO SHOTPSH Cleaning Rod 36" UNI KIT 22 & UP

If you are serious about the way you maintain your firearms, Pro-Shot provides the tools to keep your armory in tip top shape. The quality of this cleaning rod is very high. One piece rods just make a lot of sense and are easier on you and your rifle or shotgun. This is a very well made piece of equipment. Be sure to also use their rod stop and muzzle guides. They combine to safely clean the bore of your barrel without any chance of marring or scratching the bore or the opening of the barrel. The stop prevents banging into the firing pin area of closed breach rifles and shotguns. These are lifetime tools and my grand kids will be happy that I got them.

Perfect for target pistols with longer barrels. Just what I needed for my 7" Ruger- 11.5" overall. I used my 1 piece rifle rod a couple times- but it was just too long. I hate those screw together rods you get in kits. This one is an excellent quality, 1 piece rod.

I had never tried the brand. I've had many other brands over the years. My favorite was Kleen Bore but the coating started flaking off and showing up in the gun. I looked at some nice Tipton carbon fiber rods that my friends favor. They seem well designed but either the non metal rod or the plastic handles just didn't feel durable in my hands. Took a chance on Pro-shot after reading some good stuff and I can vouch for them now. All metallic and precisely finished and fitted, Also noticed smooth rolling of the rod inside metal handle. I love it and will buy the larger caliber size rod now for sure.

These Pro-Shot cleaning rods really are better than the coated brand and certainly much better than the multi-segmented and usually flimsy plain cleaning rods. This kit comes with three jags for different calibers, a bore brush and a patch holder. I bought a couple of extra chamber brushes to go with this kit and by so doing can also use the cleaning rod as a bore cleaner so long as I am careful. Here's a tip. Use a small rubber 'O' ring on the shaft of the cleaning rod to act as a depth gauge when using this kit a chamber cleaner.Would buy this item again in a heartbeat if ever I lost it. As sturdily built as the cleaning rod is, I can't imagine ever breaking it.

My first item I received was physically damaged in shipping and the rod had a 30 degree bend put into it. The second item that was received was straight however when removing the rod from my rifle, the bearings inside the handle would lock up and stop the shaft from spinning with the rifling of my barrel. I had to return it and at the moment I just can't decide on if I should give it another chance or order from somewhere else.I do have a smaller cleaning rod for my pistol and it's fantastic. So I probably just received a lemon the second time and a damaged item the first.I decided to try this rod out again because I just couldn't find another brand I liked more. Well this one is PERFECT in every way. Both strokes are fine and the rod arrived undamaged. I like this rod very much and will continue to be a pro-shot fan.

A useful kit.

Bought one for me and one as a gift.One the two came with the clear plastic storage tube crushed beyond use but somehow the rod was undamaged.I tossed the tiny bottle of clp, patches and brush, but kept the jags.This high quality rod combined with my choices of caliber specific brushes, patches, jags and clp does a great job of keeping my target pistols accurate and reliable.
