AIMS Power (PWRINV500012W) 5000W Power Inverter is a very good inverter for my needs. It has more power potential than I have had to use yet but once hunting season arrives I am sure it will get a much more workout than it has to date.So far I have used it to power up tools, lighting and fans with no effort. I have it connected to the wheel well hump in the rear of my 2015 F-350 Connect full size cargo van with a deep cycle battery inline. I have a wire leading to the main battery to help keep the deep cycle battery charged and provide a extra boost if needed by the inverter. So far that has not been needed.A friend manufactured a custom made mounting plate that allowed me to securely mount the AIMS Power (PWRINV500012W) 5000W Power Inverter. On this mount it is easy to access all the controls when needed or remove the inverter if needed. I use abayite DC 6.5-100V 0-100A LCD Display Digital Current Voltage Power Energy Meter Multimeter Ammeter Voltmeter with 100A Current Shunt to remotely power on and off the inverter. [See my review on this product to see how it is used in this application]I may write another review after hunting season if there is anything better or worse to review on this inverter. Given my success with it so far, I highly recommend the AIMS Power (PWRINV500012W) 5000W Power Inverter for those needing a more powerful inverter with them for whatever project you may be working with or while camping. If needed I certainly would purchase this product again...

I actually bought this 12 volt model, intending to buy the 48 volt model. I almost said it back, but it is so handy! If it were not for the fact that I am able to more efficiently use my charge controller at 48 volts, I would be using this all the time. Instead, I use it as a backup, and for smaller jobs. It is fully capable of 5000 Watts continuous, using the wired output. And, it has been very handy!! It will run the air conditioner on our fifth wheel, along with every other Appliance, as well as the washing machine and water pump.Shipping was fast, delivery was perfect, this thing is excellent! It's quiet, it's efficient, it gets the job done.

This inverter was a warehouse purchase, I had already bought the complete items to take it to my cabin to set it up. I wanted to try it out so I hooked it up to the accessory battery on my diesel truck with heavy duty alternator turned it on scale meter showed 14 plugged in my Keurig coffee maker base model came on for a couple seconds shut off started beeping shut it off plugged in a table lamp with a 60 watt bulb same thing got a battery out of my camper Interstate RV deep cycle same thing used 14 in 1 awg wire ?

I just bought this unit for my off grid cabin so I would not have to use the generator as much but I admit to being a bit torn. I have it hooked to 2 125AH walmart deep cycles. (heavy DC cables are a must) It runs my full size refrigerator (200 watts running with a huge surge current to start) literally without blinking. It also runs a decent sized TV and Roku box no problem. The build quality is nice and even under heavy load has not kicked the cooling fan on onceOn the downside my 1500 watt microwave runs with extreme protest. It works but sounds horrible and does not heat as well while hoovering the batteries down hard. I have tried it with the AC and again sounds horrible. I am frankly afraid to try the compressor. I do not mind the noise so much but fear damaging the equipment. I also have not tried it with the 120 volt lights or fan which are on dimmer/speed control circuits.I knew I might face these issues but did not know until I tried. I am undecided at this point if I want to keep it or send it back and save up a bit more for their pure sine inverter at 3-5 times the cost. I would buy from this seller again.

I am using a 12V Sealed Lead Acid (6 in series) at roughly 500 Amps with 400 Amp fuse, 4/0 wires, Renogy 40 MPPT controller, and 4 panels at 100 W each. Took a while to get the right set up. I am only using the direct block at +/- 40 Amps (+/-80 Amps peak). Operating grinder, electric saw, leave blower, any tool you can imagine in a garage (except for the air compressor). The voltage is definitely a bit of concern as I measured 102 V at the start in many cases and as though it kicks back into 110V after a few minutes of continuous use, some appliances may not be suitable. I also have an auto relay switch (inverter vs utility) to run power from this inverter into the house to minor equipment. My issue is that the relay would always keep the utility power on unless it's cut off, the inverter does not seem to have enough juice to switch over - or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Still testing.

I drilled 1 hole thru floor down to my 4 batteries and use 2 red black 3/4 inch cables up thru to inverter. On one pick up under the body in thru back of cab. This handles power tools on air comp no slow starts with engine on pick up running. On semi shut off 45 inch flat screen and player for 5 to 10 hours depending on outdoor temp. The run engine 20 30 min to charge. Both aims 5000 watts lasted over 5 years each
