LMP-1001 (White) Compact 2-In-1 Dual Action Indoor Elliptical Cross Trainer and Cycling Machine with 8 Resistance Levels Adjustable Seat Digital Monitor and Tablet Holder

Being only 5ft I was looking for a 2 in 1 cross trainer/bike where I could reach the handle bars (particularly the bike element), I’d searched on line & read reviews where 5’3 women couldn’t reach the bars, then I found this Limepeaks one which had adjustable seat – forward and back as well as up & down but also the handle bars of the bike element could be adjusted too. Some reviews weren’t very good but was assured by Amazon that I could return if not suitable. The item arrived safely, it took a bit of effort to put together on my own (I’m 63), the paper manual wasn’t good as you couldn’t see properly all the screws & attachments, (I normally tick off that the item sent includes all the correct parts) in any case some of the parts had the bolts already attached waiting to be undone so I just went ahead and started putting it together. I had to lay the elliptical base on it’s side to attach the ‘governor’ element. Thank heavens for the video on YouTube as that really helped though it was a bit dated as I had wires to attach to the data console whereas the video only showed a grommet being stuck to a foot pedal, the paper manual didn’t have either mentioned. Had a slight hiccup with the bolts that attached to the wheel element, didn’t realise that you could get left & right handed thread screws. Anyway apart from 1 screw missing where I contacted the supplier via Amazon & was duly sent out an additional pack of screws/bolts etc the equipment is working fine. Yes it does squeak a little but will experiment with tightening/loosening bolts etc. A very sturdy piece of equipment which now sits in my garage come gym & is great to use.

Arrived well packaged, and easy to put together. But we were missing the LCD monitor and had trouble getting in contact with Limepeaks. The monitor was sent out, but arrived with no instruction manual. Although it's pretty basic and easy to understand, I don't know what the 'set' button in the middle does. The machine is nice though and just what I need to get my muscle strength back after a torn calf muscle.

Assembly of the unit is relatively straight forward. Just make sure you connect the tensioning element correctly as stripping the front support and handle bar section down afterwards could be difficult.We had an issue with the computer not sensing the movement and hence no feedback on speed, distance etc. was available.Contacted the seller through Amazon, they asked me to use a number via WhatsApp which I did. Explained the issue, they then asked me to strip the unit down (including the main carcass, which was fully assembled when delivered) to check a sensor.Duly did this and the sensor wasn't positioned correctly, adjusted it and it worked ok.Couple of things that need pointing out. Firstly the sensor mounting is purely a rubber 'grommet' type and it is feasible the sensor could move again, either away from the flywheel, or worse case, in to the flywheel. This sensor would be better mounted using a threaded barrel type sensor which would then fix it's position.Secondly, despite the delivery being late (paid £17.99 for delivery) and then having to carry out fairly major work on the unit to get it working (it was a gift for my father, so I had to go back and forth to his house to make the adjustments, luckily he is in our support bubble) and having pointed all this out to the seller, when I asked for a refund on the delivery they haven't since responded (3 weeks ago now).Based on their obvious lack of customer care I would use JLL Fitness in future as we've had several items from them and whilst they are more expensive, they are better quality and do support and care for their customers.

Item took me a while to put together due to the small print in the instruction manual. Had to photograph it then enlarge it. Got to final part - right foot lever and it did not fit. Noted it was the wrong part straight away (another left foot lever with an R letter on it). Had to email at least a couple of times with photographic evidence to get the seller to see that the part was wrong and that I had not put it together incorrectly. But seller did forward the correct part which fitted perfectly.Since then this item has worked just fine. I find it a very quiet item. I did have to strip down the front again to re-align the Governor (had to look up what that was and check the online video to see how to connect this properly). Instruction manual did not explain what the Governor was, and the diagram is not enough to guide you to fit this exactly as it should be fitted if you do not already know. I find the tension good. Overall this is a good item.
