They advertise their product has a shelf life of 25-30 years, but my product (Lasagna) has only 10 years remaining on the "Best By Date". If They informed me of this I would have looked at other manufacturers product.

I believe their stated shelf life is seven years.

Q: When done, is the size of the meal an adequate dinner size?

For a hungry thru hiker the two portion meal is good. Add crumbled Doritos and salami for an amazing back country meal from heaven.
