Best Ever Orchid Food!!!!
This orchid food is by far THE BEST!!!Ok, the smell IS pretty disgusting BUT, This is the darn best orchid plant food EVER!! I have LOTS of orchids, and like another reviewer said that they should have LARGER quantities, (FOR SURE, gallon size) need it for all my orchids; everyone who has an orchid should get this!My orchids are coming out with new leaves all over and buds, Cattleya and all the others. My Phals, which I felt were slow growing, are taking off. One of them 'Blue Mystique' which I've had for a year and the original spike died off completely, is now growing a new spike. I know it might not be blue like the original spike (sadly, but will find out) but at least it is growing a new one and on top of that, it's got huge, healthy beautiful green leaves! If you don't like the smell, water them outside or in the bathtub and let them drain before putting them back, of course make sure you clean the bathtub after; but buy this if you love your orchids, cause they'll love you for it!There is one more thing I needed to add; if your orchids are looking bad like some I received in the mail, just take them out of the pot they come in, completely remove all the moss (usually what I find they seem to all be planted in), remove dead roots then soak it in a container of part warm water to part Orchid Love for about 15 minutes. Put it in a new pot with a good orchid bark (I use Better-Gro, it is on Amazon). Water it with the remaining water-Orchid Love mixture that it was soaking in. I have found that it really perks up and makes the orchid look better and grow healthier, it has root stimulator in it.

Careful opening it!
Gave it to my orchids for the first time so I’ll see how good it works. I’m confident they will be happy. But be careful opening it. Mine exploded and then continued bubbling out like one of those volcanoes you’d see at a science fair. I had to dump a good bit out before it stopped. It was weird I guess it was overfilled or something. I’m just glad I happened to open it over my sink. Good product tho.

Experimenting With Orchid Love
My orchids are already healthy and beautiful. They are in a room with 120 gallon and 55 gallon planted aquariums. They are also on plant saucers filled with pebbles. The orchids love the humidity. I actually water my orchids with fish tank water by soaking my clear, slotted orchid pots in a bucket of aquarium water. My fish are huge (excellent waste producers) and I fertilize the aquatic plants. I use pebbles in the bottom for excellent drainage and adding weight for stability of the pot. I use only long strand moss loosely packed around the plant. I water when I stick my finger through the moss and feel just a tad of moisture. The point of the long post is that my plants are healthy and green with amazing root systems. The blooms last year were very good. I decided to experiment with the quantity and quality of blooms by supplementing with an actual orchid food to make sure they were receiving every important nutrient required. I will have to get back to you on the bloom aspect inluenced by Organic Love. I soaked my intensely green plants in it yesterday and woke up to find that in approximately 16 hours the color had amazingly deepened at least an entire shade. I can't wait to see if there are other developments. I will report back. So far I am impressed.Having 4 aquariums in the house I didn't experience the bad smell. A healthy aquarium has a woodsy smell. I apparently am impervious but I hope my guests aren't being assulted by the aroma.

DO NOT PURCHASE!
DO NOT SHAKE BOTTLE TO MIX!!!I know the directions say to shake the bottle to mix well, but don't do it unless you want your kitchen cabinets, windows, counters, and appliances, and utensils covered in fertilizer! The contents acted like a 2 liter bottle of soda pop that had been thoroughly shaken - it made an ungodly mess and a substantial amount of product was wasted! After cleaning up the mess, I poured out about a cup of fertilizer into a large tumbler, and used a tablespoon to add 4 tablespoons to a funnel inside my gallon jug, and added lukewarm water. This worked well.I went ahead and soaked my 7 inch diameter orchid pots to their individual 2 gallon buckets, for 2 hours as I normally do. I have 9 orchids. When I went to lift the pots out of the buckets, I couldn't do it because the outside of the orchid pots were slick from the fish emulsion, is my guess. That was another mess to deal with!!!Whether or not this is a "good" orchid fertilizer remains to be seen. I am stuck using it, as I cannot afford to let this 32oz bottle go to waste. I spent almost an hour deciding on which orchid fertilizer to purchase, as the brand I normally purchase was not available. The brand I prefer is Orchid Better Bloom by Better-Gro. It is a powdered fertilizer that is more economical and MUCH EASIER TO USE!!! It does an EXTRAORDINARY JOB!!! It also clearly lists the NPK amount on the label so it is easy to compare exactly what you are getting. There is no chance of overfeeding your orchids, either! You don't have to keep track of how many times you have fed your orchids - you can fertilizer them at every watering, and you don't have to deal with heavy slippery pots. With the number of Orchids I own, that are not all on the same watering schedule, it is very inconvenient for me to use this fertilizer. I WILL NOT EVER PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN! If Amazon refuses to carry the Better-Gro Orchid Better Bloom fertilizer, I will make the trips to my local garden centers, until I find the Orchid fertilizer I prefer!
