Hot effective heat, Not for babies
Great, big, and an effective use of moisture gathering and heat application for people with aches and pains seeking a heating pad that will become hotter than you need it to be at times. If you’re actually seeking a pad to simply warm you up, you may want to buy a cheaper pad with a heat setting switch. Those do not reach the same high temperatures, nor did the last one I bought get anywhere close to the max temps printed upon their manual. This has a pressure switch for safety as many people use these applied directly to their skin- this is done to bring the moisture gathering right along you skin to increase the pads ability to transfer heat to your body..

Doesn’t stay on
I love the medical grade heating pads, I have to replace at least once a year. This one however isn’t the one I like. The ONLY way it stays on is if you hold a button in, more like a lever.

This one really heats!!!
Most heating pads provide very little heat. My husband has back issues and wanted to heat and ice his back . He tried the heaping pad I bought at a local drugstore and said the heat was so weak it wasn’t worth it. I went on Amazon and found a medical grade one. It I gets really hot! The switch is one you jhave to hold for it to be on, and he wasn’t sure he would like that but it works because it heats quickly and you can’t leave it on for long.He is very happy with it, and as it cools down you get kind of a moist heat which is good!

Great Innovative Product but could probably use one change to bring it up to Outstanding.
I have lower back issues which required moist heat (alternated with ice) to relieve the inflammation. In the past I had used hydrocollator pad for the moist heat, but this required a lot of prep time for a one time use after which you had to reprep it to use it again. When I saw this pad could provide moist heat continuously, I wanted to try it. My first concern has to do with the way it draws moisture, but I have to take it at face value since it worked for me. The one thing I liked (I hated it originally until I began to use over the course of a week) was the way it heats (only while holding the infamous blue lever). At first I found this to be problematic but in time I figured out (for me) when to press it for max heat then release until it cools down to a certain temperature/feeling then repress it again until it reaches the maximum heat I can tolerate and repeat over and over again until it is time for the ice pack. One not I do think they could improve the product by allowing an individual to turn it on continuously at a given temperature thus meeting everyone's needs.

Great, but..
Nice large size, great coverage, and it heats up nicely and quickly. Two things I don’t like:1. This is advertised as “moist heat” which is misleading. It’s a regular heating pad. It might be moister heat unless you live in a dry climate, in which case they recommend using a humidifier while you’re using it. Mmmok. (bad advertising. bad!) Not a deal breaker. However...2. I wish I’d more closely read the description of the heat control for this thing - if I had, I prob wouldn’t have bought this. I’m used to the pads where the control allows you turn it on to low, med, or high, and it stays on, sometimes will auto shut off. This one, you have to hold the lever down continuously to keep the heat coming. You let go, heat stops. Not a fan.I like the extra large size and the heat of this, so i’ll keep it; but I’m going to find a hack for the controller...e.g. a clamp or large rubber band to put around it to keep the lever pressed so i don’t have to. Bad design.

Stops heating after a few minutes
This is a well made heating pad. The switch is pretty easy to use, but you have to manually hold it on. It gets very hot very quickly, but then cools off quite a bit, even with the button held on. There must be some sort of thermal switch internally that stops it from overheating. They should say this in the description. If there is not one, then it just doesn’t work very well.

Better Than Expected
I wanted medical grade heat and that's what I got. Most heating pads do not heat up sufficiently to offer true relief; this one does. Being able to control the heat by pressing the switch was the main selling point for me because it reminded me of a heating pad I had from orthopedic, so i knew I was more than likely getting the real deal. Be careful because it does get really hot.
