Very happy with the product quality. It really feels like a high-end hand-carved chess set. Especially the Queen. The pieces are fancy, but easily readable when playing. And the size is perfect for home playing. Absolutely worth its price. The wood type could be better (olive tree or walnut are my favorites), but that would impact the price.

This set is even nicer than I expected. I bought it to teach my daughter to play, and she loves it. The pieces and board are a really nice size, with details making it for more interesting to play on then a generic chess set. The insert for holding the pieces isn't the greatest, but that's not what you're buying the set for. You can smell the finish upon opening this set up, but it does dissipate after a while. Highly recommend this set.

Was alot nicer than expected. High quality and an overall pleasure

My 12 yr old son is getting into chess -- just started a chess club in his middle school -- and I wanted a nicer set that would make games a little more special. I know lot's of people play on-line now, but we're so sick of on-line everything! This set is good in that regard and was a good Xmas present. Check! A big, solid wood board with solid, wooden pieces. One thing that would've been even nicer would've been weighted pieces, but it's still a nice chess set. What I've learned since the purchase is that, in the finest sets, a lot of it is about how nice the knights are. Well these knights are fine for us. Now I need to get better to keep up with my son!

This Chess Set is amazing.I have searching near and far. Everywhere that I could think of. There are very few decent sets out there.This Set is GREAT!!My 7yr old Grandson just learned to play chess and loves to play it with Grandpa. So I surprised them both.Pieces are big enough.The board is nice and big.The boards contrast is nice to see both colors.The pieces stay in place when folding in halfGreat all aroundHaven't found anything negative.Well worth the money!!

I love the hand crafted detail on the all the pieces. The chess board is big when unfolded and square is 2", just perfect for me. The only thing I complain is the pieces is not weighted. They are too light weight. Other than that I am happy.There are some other sellers on Amazon sell the re-brand for double the price. Make sure they made by Wegiel from Poland. I almost brought the one by Jarilo set for $169.
