I bought this product nearly two years ago (November, 2022) for $70. A great pencil of great quality. Now it's $90. A bit over the top in asking price 👀

I've been collecting Cross pens for over 30 years. I'm pretty obsessed with them. So when I saw the Micro Knurl version, I could order the set fast enough. Before I received it, I was actually planning on buying the black version as well. But, once I took the pen out of the box and held it, I couldn't believe that I was holding a Cross pen. It felt so light and flimsy. I compared the weight with of the pen one of my older Cross pens and the difference was noticeable. It is a beautiful set though which is why I gave it a 3, along with the fact that it still has the Cross lifetime warranty. I don't think I would have an issue if the set costed maybe $40 vice the $80. This set is definitely not worth that much. Then pen and pencil feel like $15 each at the most. I understand that they have to probably use China labor to survive but the prices need to be in line with the quality. You can't charge U.S. Cross prices for a China Cross pen and pencil set. I've had them for a few weeks now and both the pen and pencil are holding up fine.
