Best in Class Travel Bag
I purchased CaddyDaddy's Constrictor and Defender bags. Although the Defender is 1 in. shorter and is a bit tight fit for my (typical) 45 in. driver + protective crown, I decided to keep the Defender due to personal preference. I have worn thru 3 travel bags and 2 protective crowns purchased at sporting goods stores over the past 20 yrs. I decided to look on Amazon after a disappointing visit to my local sporting goods store - bags are not what they used to be - now poor quality/high prices ($200 - $300).Why I gave 5 stars (vs other $100-$300 bags online and at sporting goods store): the Constrictor and Defender bags were designed with durability and some extra packing space in mind. The fabric is significantly thicker/stiffer and the zippers are larger/stronger. My travel bag is also part suitcase. I typically throw a pair of gym shoes, flip flops and a couple small bags of clothes in there too. Similar to my previous bags, Constrictor/Defender includes: lower back of bags have riveted plastic skin & rails to protect rolling onto high curbs, airline carts/conveyor dings and Uber drivers jamming bag into tight trunks; and thick padding around clubhead area.If you're looking for a travel bag because you're flying, don't buy a cheap travel bag for your precious clubs and do what my friend did - use towels, bubble wrap and string to cushion. TSA inspects all golf bags. They're in a hurry and don't like having to spend extra time unraveling towels/packaging tape/untying string. After inspection, your cushion won't be cushioning your clubs. If you do buy cheap, include a roll of duct tape in your bag. You may need it on one of your return flights...haha!

Excellent Bag - Not Just for Golf Clubs - Excellent for Ham Radio Gear
First, lets calibrate what we're talking about here. This isn't made from titanium chain mail. It's heavy Cordura, a heavy fabric made from a blend of woven fibers. Secondly, I'm not a golfer and probably never will be so my comments don't relate directly to suitability for use as a golf club carrier. As an amateur radio (aka "ham radio") operator, I recently want on a small expedition to the Galapagos Islands (HD8M 2023). Everything we needed for the 3 radio stations had to come with us as luggage; radios, power supplies, antennas, coaxial cables, tools, computers, numerous accessories, etc. There was nothing but 3 vacation houses where we went. We took 3 complete radio stations and all the necessary equipment in our airline luggage. I used this bag to carry some of the heavier items including several antennas, a telescoping 26' fiberglass pole, 350' of coaxial cable, and 2 boxes of accessories, adapters, etc. I also put another bag with all of my clothes and personal items inside this bag. It weighed just shy of 70 Lbs (the airline limit for overweight baggage). Because my assortment of items was somewhat non-standard, it attracted the attention of U.S. TSA. This was not entirely unexpected. To be honest, if they weren't inspecting bags like this one, I would be concerned. However, on my first flight from PHL to MIA, this caused the bag to be delayed. To correct this, the airline flew it overnight to Phoenix and then to Miami for the earliest possible delivery the next day. This bag went: PHL to PHX to MIA to UIO (Quito) to GPS (Baltra airport, Galapagos). Once we landed at Baltra, it was put on a shuttle bus, then on the top of a small ferry, then in the back of a Toyota Hilux, then loaded onto another boat, dragged down a dock, and finally dragged to the house where I stayed. 10 days later it did the same trip in reverse (without the detour to Phoenix). When I got it home and unpacked it, I looked it over before I put it away. The stitching on all seams was in tact. The wheels and plastic on the back end were scratched a bit as you would expect for such a long trip across various terrain. There are a couple of very minor abrasions and one or two tiny rips (<1") where it must have been rubbed against something rough or hard. I don't blame these on the bag. Travel 4,000 miles to a remote part of the world and back again through 4 airports (x2), across various terrain and transportation and this is par for the course. I'm not shocked and these won't affect its usefulness in the future. As I said, this isn't made of metal. If you need something that won't be worn by abrasion, get one the much more expensive and heavier hard cases. If you're doing trips like this frequently, that may be a better bet for you. If you need something for occasional use that will hold up well and do what was intended, this bag is an excellent choice. KE2D/HD8M 2023

Great way to Pack!
Very durable, solid construction, well designed, strong zippered pouches... would like to have purchased a travel cover that had a water proof liner. After using it for the first time on a flight, I looked out the window of my plane on a rainy day and noticed my bag sitting on a cart on the tarmac! When I arrived home and got my bag, I opened it to a completely soaked set of clubs...not really anyone's fault, but it happened. Most importantly, my clubs arrived at their destination completely intact! I have flown with them twice. There is plenty of room for shoes, extra clothing...and maybe a few souvenirs that you might bring home. Folds and packs away nicely. Good product overall!
