This lens is a true gem for any photography enthusiast looking to capture stunning images with exceptional image stabilization capabilities. One of the standout features of this lens is its remarkable image stabilization technology. It effectively compensates for camera shake, allowing me to shoot sharp, blur-free images even in challenging shooting conditions. Whether I was capturing fast-moving subjects or shooting handheld in low light, the image stabilization delivered outstanding results, ensuring every shot was crisp and clear. The autofocus performance of the EF-M 55–200mm lens is another area where it truly shines. The autofocus is lightning fast, accurately tracking subjects and delivering sharp focus with ease. This is particularly useful when photographing wildlife, sports, or any situation that requires quick and precise focusing. In terms of image quality, this lens is exceptional. The 55–200mm focal length range provides great versatility, allowing me to capture a wide range of subjects, from landscapes to portraits to distant objects. The images produced are incredibly sharp, with excellent detail and vibrant colors. The lens also exhibits minimal distortion and chromatic aberration, further enhancing the overall image quality.I was also impressed by the compact and lightweight design of the lens. It perfectly complements my Canon EOS M-series camera and makes it easy to carry around for extended periods. The build quality is superb, with a sturdy construction that feels durable and reliable.Another advantage of the EF-M 55–200mm lens is its quiet operation. The autofocus motor operates smoothly and silently, which is particularly useful when shooting in quiet environments or during video recording.Overall, the Canon EF-M 55–200mm lens is a fantastic addition to any photographer's kit. Its impressive image stabilization, fast autofocus, excellent image quality, and compact design make it a standout performer. Impressive!!
I am in no way a professional photographer, but let me tell you, this lens is amazing! I've done so much research and come to find out there aren't many options for the ef-m lens mount, especially to zoom. So i decided to give this one a try and boy am i glad i did. I mean ofcourse unless you want to get the Ef / Ef-s lens adapter. To start off, im using it on a Canon M50 mark II. Yes i know, it's basically the M50 with a new name but honestly it doesn't affect me much, it's the first new camera I've had in YEARS and it works awesome! Second, you will need to make the shutter speed lower and turn off continuous AF and trust me, this will fix all the blurry picture issues. I understand 200mm isn't that far as you would like for wildlife that is pretty dangerous to get really close to but it does its job in regards to animals at zoos or just around your house. The seller was awesome aswell!! I ordered the lens on a Monday morning and had it in my hands by Thursday!! Keep in mind it crossed the whole country and with the pandemic going on it really is a bonus. The description said it was new and was part of a set that didn't sell together, i saved at least $100 for a NEW lens and could not be happier.

Nice first telephoto lens!
I really love this 55-200mm lens. Auto focus woks fast, good stabilization, you don't need to turn anything on or off. Nice performance in low light situations, also nice depth of field even in f/6.3. The size is no uncomfortable to carry with you.I have to say that the quality is the same as the 15-45mm lens, it’s no total metal is more plastic. The 32mm lens still show a better quality because of metal parts. However, I think the 55-200mm lens is now one of my favorite.I’m attaching a photo with 55mm and the other with 200mm, I was for sure about 120sf away.

Slooooow autofocus
When autofocus is complete, the images are razor sharp and the video image stabilization is top drawer. Autofocus is achingly slow (simply inadequate from a point-and-shoot perspective). When your composition does not require a quick acquisition (little dynamic activity) this is the perfect lens.

Great travel lens for amateur photography
Awesome travel lense. My job is flying small aircraft around so I’m spending a bunch of time at smaller airports. In the ideal world I would have my 70-300mm IS lense with me, but with the adapter and it’s size, it’s just too big. This lense hits a very happy medium. I lose a little bit of range but 200mm is plenty to get good photos. 55mm on the close end is enough to still take photos inside the plane as well and still get a wingtip. If I’m traveling around I put this lense on and leave the other ones at home

Makes my canon "M" camera feel complete
I own an original EOS-M, no networking capability. It came with the two EF-M lenses that were available at the time, and I also acquired an adapter ring to fit original EOS-EF lenses to the camera so I could use my other 300mm len. Now, a 300mm EF and EF-S vs 200mm EF-M is a fair approximate comparison IMHO since digital cameras and lenses have a different focal length, so don't think I stacked the deck or anything. This lens is lighter, smaller, and integrates better with the system. The zoom is smoother, and the range of the camera is finally what I expect it to be.As for the seller, well, they said this was a used lens and had a few markings, but I couldn't see anything without magnification. Full Points for Full Disclosure, guys
