Wow! Great product, good taste for frijoles, and low-salt too
Just tried this product for the first time and LOVED it!!! The advice about using equal parts of boiling water and beans is spot on.... I put the two together, then put the bowl in the microwave on med-high for two minutes, and presto!, they were done. The beans start out a bit more on the moist side after just a couple minutes, but as they sit, they seem to continue to absorb more water and become a thicker consistency... So I added a bit more boiling water afterward to get the consistency I wanted. As for flavorings, Amazon sells, and I use, the mini travel-type packets of Tapatio hot sauce at home. Added two of those small packets of Tapatio to my beans as my first try at flavoring, and the taste was GREAT!These beans have a 6% of your RDA for sodium content per serving. And yet the same company sells other similar dehydrated refried bean products that have 25% of your RDA of sodium per serving. Why? It's just not necessary, and all that extra unnecessary sodium in a variety of prepared food products just contributes to health problems for people. This particular product is a great way to eat HEALTHY and GOOD at the same time!

Wow!! Very good!
I bought these dehydrated beans to make for a birthday party. I was VERY impressed! They were easy to prepare and tasted good. I believe we made the whole bag and all fit fit into a half-sized aluminum pan (typically used in food catering). I will be purchasing more since there are also directions on the bag to prepare smaller portions. Very highly recommend!

These are AMAZING!
If you want Restaurant-Quality Refried Beans, look no farther! These taste just like the best refried beans I have gotten from fancy Mexican and Tex-Mex Restaurants. I love these low-sodium ones because they are plain enough to let you season them however you want. Easy to make individual servings by using a half cup of beans with a half cup of boiled water (makes enough for 1-2 people with this amount). Also perfect for letting me recreate my favorite Vegetarian Tacos and Vegetarian Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell. AND, best part, is NONE of that weird metallic/chemical/iodine/chlorine taste that seems to be in every brand of canned refried beans!

Expensive but good
It’s the only one I could find with very low sodium. I mean for dehydrated beans, it’s kinda expensive, but if you are looking for low sodium, easy prep and good taste and texture, this is solid.

I love the ease of preparation and taste of these delicious beans. They make any dish a real hit and can quickly be turned into a yummy bean dip for parties or gatherings. Cook as directed, add salsa, cheese, and sour cream…bring on the chips! 🇲🇽

Not Organic, but pretty healthey
I was ready to be disappointed by these. Wrong. I live alone, so I'm always looking for single serving foods. I mix 1/2 cup beans, 1/2 cup water, some cheese and a couple tbls. of salsa. Microwave for 1.5 minutes, stir ,microwave 1.5 more minutes. Yum. You could throw in some onions, spices, etc... It's not organic, but it has less sodium, and more protein and fiber then Annies Low Sodium Organic refried beans. No Brainer for me.
