Bought this for a neighbor who is Italian and he loves his espresso. It arrived very quickly and is the perfect gift for those with a liking for espresso.

Excellent coffee/espresso. Just a touch better than most coffee we've tried from Italia.

Aiello Caffe Italian Espresso Intenso Coffee Beans produces a well rounded cup of medium body, medium roast coffee. But it is a bit milder and flavorful than I prefer.Considering the packaging ("Espresso Intenso") I was actually expecting this coffee to pack quite a punch. In fact, I wanted to try this coffee mainly because it was a blend of typical (for the US) Arabica beans and Robusta beans. I had heard that Robusta could produce a more intense cup of coffee but could also result in a bitter unappealing flavor.Well the good news is that this Espresso Intenso is not bitter or unappealing at all. It was well-rounded, smooth, and quite drinkable. If anything I was hoping it would have a bit more intensity that it did, but as it is it still a pleasant cup of coffee. (Note that do not have the tools to make espresso, so my comments are from making a french press grind of coffee.) My wife was not as impressed by this blend, but overall I'm still willing to recommend this.

This is a very good medium roast blend of 70% Arabica beans & 30% Robusta beans. Italian coffee roasters frequently blend Arabica & Robusta to get a flavorful cup of espresso. I used these beans in my superautomatic espresso machine & it made a very good cup with nice crema, balanced flavor & good intensity. I prefer medium roast beans so this was great for my tastebuds. It made a great espresso shot & also a really good Café au Lait.If you like a very intense cup of espresso, you may want to try a darker roast. This medium roast is versatile & also makes a really good for a moka pot, a coffee machine or even milky coffee – although some people may prefer a more intense coffee with milk.

Excellent flavor and crema

This is described as "Espresso Intenso"! No, it's not "intenso", and not even espresso actually. This coffee is truly not properly espresso roasted. Even bad espresso has a distinct expressed flavor that is completely missing from this coffee. The odd flavor is so thin it is barely there. Maybe it's the beans used to produce this awful product, but whatever it is it's not worth drinking. Don't waste your money.

Review of Aiello Caffe Italian Espresso Intenso Coffee Beans, Medium Roasted Whole Bean Coffee Blend, 2.2 Pound Bag sold by International Loft DBA Authenticico.I lack the experience to verify that this is an authentic Italiano espresso. I used this for espresso in both my semi-automatic espresso machine and a single test brew in a moka pot. The flavor was great.I brewed solely as an espresso and not as regular coffee. I use a stainless steel pitcher instead of glass to collect the brew so at first the crema looked a little lacking but tested a brew into a glass pitcher and the crema was very nice and a little denser than what I had been noticing with my daily espresso blend.The flavor was great, especially as a change from my daily routine. Had been using a medium espresso roast (Cuban-style) for my daily latte to switching to this provided a greater impression of intensity that I might otherwise have not noticed as much.I screwed up and tossed the empty bag so I cannot list any information about Best By or Roasting dates but recall that the Best By date was probably in the order of 7 to 9 months.A rating for "giftable" was left blank as a bag of espresso beans is not my idea of a great gift.
