Fast acting, great for Citrus, grow boxes, etc.
Quick acting on soil. It is so much better than bagged acidifiers - a whole 5 lb. bag of Espoma brand can't even touch what a little of this does. You don't need nearly as much to do the job. Obviously it takes the plants a little time to right themselves once you fix the PH. I use Earthboxes for most of my veggies and even the Peat based potting mix is never the right PH. It is usually too alkaline, especially the Canadian peat, and is likely why many people don't get really good results in grow boxes or pots. Even seedling mixes are off. It never dawns on people to check PH. It can fix alot of issues and it is so simple.Everything you amend potting mixes with can alter the PH. I found even my water is pushing a PH of 8 and obviously affects potted plants with regular alkaline waterings! So, get a combo PH, Moisture and Light meter to check your plants. You'll be amazed how easily they fix themselves once you correct just the soil PH. The meter helps you with watering issues also - no more over watering.I just got 3 more quarts of this to prepare for spring - I use it around my fruit trees and shrubs as well. Love it.

Good product
Got this fertilizer for my azaleas & rose bushes. Last fall, I followed instructions for watering product into the soil. They are looking much healthier this spring. I'm satisfied with this product.

VERY efficient at lowering soil ph. Be careful
I don't generally leave reviews but I thought since I've used this product for years in my nursery my experience with it might be helpful. Firstly, this product does absolutely work at lowering soil ph and therefor, fixing iron chlorosis in plant leaves. That being said, you need to be sure that the problems your plant is experiencing is in fact related to soil ph being too high. Test your soil before using this product and determine that lowering the ph is indeed the solution. THIS PRODUCT CAN ADJUST PH FAST IF YOU USE TOO MUCH SO BE CAREFUL. Start with a smaller amount and slowly incrementally use it and test your soil between use. You can certainly mess up your plants if you adjust the ph too quickly and this product can do that. ESPECIALLY in pots.If you are trying to grow blueberries or other acid loving plants in the soil in the ground, I would suggest preparing the soil at least a year in advance by mixing in pine bark and elemental soil and continuing to mix in sulfur incrementally and testing over a long period until the ph is down to where you'd like. Then when you plant, fill your whole with acidic soil mix.If your plants are already in the ground and they are experiencing issues due to high ph, then i'd suggest again using sulfur incrementally and using this product diluted and spraying in a large even area in the drip zone of the plants. Again, be careful with this product. Don't use it too concentrated. When using this product to lower ph of potted plants, use extra caution. Do it very diluted and always test your soil between applications. You can kill your plants if you use too much of this and swing your ph too low too fast. And you can use too much easily. It's a great product!! just be careful with it. Dilute it out.

Good Stuff
I use this for my Blueberry plants. When the acid thermometer starts to turn out a little bit of a higher pH, I use this product to reduce the pH back closer to 4. I baby my blueberry plants. They have slow release acidifier & I keep them mulched with Pine Bark (acidic). They produce an enormous amount of delicious berries every year.

Finally a solution
I have several Hydrangeas and they were healthy first year or so and then steadily each year the chlorosis got worse until the leaves looked like glass! They almost died. I tried sulfur but its weak, slow and requires a lot. This solved the problem immediately although I also use sulfur for long term. I recommend Garden Tutor test strips to test PH - cheap and easy. I have since tested some large potted plants (Hydrangea and Clematis) which had some chlorosis caused by alkaline soil.
