Good product once you have it together.
This is working well for my Mom! The last assembly step was a bit difficult to pound in. We used a mallet. My only other thought might be that it may not work for someone much shorter than she is.. She is about 4'11".

Very substantial - all steel tubing
I review everything and am most impressed by this "sit and stand" rolling patient mover. Reviewed every one on Amazon, from the cheapest to the most expensive, and chose this one with the straight front legs (does not widen) for $399 including Prime shipping (don't expect 2-day delivery, this delivery was 5-6 days including a weekend and I'm sure the UPS driver didn't appreciate the heavy weight). I'm an 81-year old female (130 pounds) with a 240 pound husband who's had 2 surgeries since the first of December 2024 (this is now the first of February 2025) who has lost a lot of leg strength from laying in bed for recovery so many weeks and very little therapy to keep him mobile. This "sit and stand" is all steel with good welds, all hardware in bag, includes some wrenches to tighten everything and is quite heavy, but moves really well over area rugs, wood floor, and Mexican Saltillo tile (very lumpy). I couldn't sleep last night, unloaded the well-packaged box, and proceeded to put everything together (and tighten everything) in about an hour. Didn't even need the instructions, just looked at the picture and started assembling. All tubing lined up and the "bolt" holes as well. Easy !!! Recommend.

Game Changer
This thing is a game changer. My dad recently came to live with us. We were struggling with moving him from bed to chair and back to bed. He can pull himself up to stand but cannot walk. After reading reviews, we chose this device solely for ease of putting the seat in place. Before the device it took both my husband and myself to move him around. Since he doesn't have much control over his legs, he's almost dead weight. It was causing back pain for the both of us. He isn't a big guy, like maybe 120-130. We noticed it was much easier for him and us if we had a way for him to pull himself up. It was really weird, if we tried to stand him up his legs would cross and unable to uncross them himself or he would step on his own feet unable to move his feet on his own. However, if we'd let him pull himself up he didn't have those issues and could step and move his feet on his own. Weird I know but that's the way it worked. My friend stumbled across a similar device sent it to me and research began. As long as your patient can pull themselves up and stand holding the bar for at least 15 seconds this is the device for you. Maneuverability is a little tricky since all for legs have wheels but you get use to that. Has two sturdy locking wheels on the front. The seats swivel easily into place. Yes, it costs a bit more for the swivel seats but I promise to not have the struggle of getting the locking pins place is well worth the extra money. I am able to move him from bed to chair and back again all by myself which is a huge deal. My dad and I love love this thing. I promise you will not be disappointed. Now, I've found two negatives with this device that may be an issue.1-from floor to top of the leg is too high to fit under the recliner my dad sits in, since he can step down we're able to work around that.2-it doesn't fit through the bathroom door, which ours is like 22".And now that I'm thinking about it, the only other thing that you may wanna know is it's kinda big so storage may be an issue. I'll take the size for the ease of use.I hope this helps.

Great product.
A super great sit to stand lift. Rugged, and floor arms will expand to fit most chairs. Leg pads are not adjustable width wise; I removed them. You can re-drill mounting holes if needed. Had for some time now. Only occasional oiling on casters and expansion pedal mechanism required.

What a great product
What a great back saver. I can move my loved one all over the house safely and with ease. Patient must have leg strength to stand.

The most important, little known piece of simple,non-motorized medical equipment for home care!
If you have a family member in rehab/nursing home and are thinking about bringing them home but they are not ambulatory, this is a necessary tool. you can wheel a 125-300+ lb person around anywhere and the only requirement is to have the strength to pull yourself up.. After surgery, I could not have brought my 265 lb husband home without it. I can move him from wheel chair to recliner to bed easily. The added bonus is pulling yourself up is an exercise in itself. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is the locks. They could be stronger when moving a larger person. The company should consider using Medline hospital bed brakes as they are terrific!!!!
