The purple is the only con
I have used almost every color this brand has! If you get your hair platinum blonde they all work amazing! The only one that I have ever had a problem with and many others as well is any shade of purple. Always turns out blue instead. Idk if it is because the dye is henna (the stuff used for temp. Tattoos) but purple is the only color I have had not turn out anywhere near what it color it is supposed to be. I also read someone said the black didnt work. Now my hair is naturally black, but I think they needed to still bleach their hair to get it to color right. It is henna, not hair color. So all shades need as light of a base as you can get! I use wella lightening bleach with wella developer, then I use wella platinum toner and developer to take the brassiness out. Before I even try the colors. Like I said, i have black hair and I can get it platinum. You just have to use toner and a really good brand of bleach. I am 42 years old and have been coloring my hair since I was 12. So I know what I am doing! I also had a few hairstylists help me order all of the right stuff and teach me the right amounts to mix, lenght of time to use ect. I have used other colors in the past, but this brand has been my favorite.

HORRIBLE
First ever hair dye, so I went with something that seemed not harsh chemical wise but the color would turn out well. Boy was I wrong. I applied the dye as stated by the instructions, waited for 25 minutes, and then washed out the excess briefly. Nothing. If anything it added a ugly green tint to my hair. I ordered black. Tried it again, surley I must've messed up and didn't leave it in long enough. Nooope. More green this time, so I couldn't just wash it out and pretend this nightmare never happened. So I waited a few hours before thinking the third times the charm and picked up the now bluish green stained bottle. I applied it on dry hair and in a very thick layer, and left it in for an hour. It did the best this time around, although it has a major flaw, the vibrant color is BLUE instead of black. It also washes out in a variety of blues, greens, purples, reds and even browns. The closest thing I've gotten with this product was while waiting for it to set it was black. Don't waste your money or your time. Go with a permanent dye next time, at least you'll actually get results.

10/10 recommend
I mixed coral red/fire to get a good shade to just amp up my naturally ginger hair and I’m really impressed by this formula! I’ve used a lot of different semi permanents in the past for all different colors, so I’ve experienced good and bad color payoff— when I saw how runny the formula was I have to admit I didn’t expect much, but this dye really surprised me! I got the exact color that I was hoping for, and I only left it on for about 45 minutes when I usually leave semi permanent dyes on for several hours. The color is perfectly even without any patchy spots and by some absolute miracle it didn’t stain my skin?? My hands had a teeny tint of red you could barely see (from rinsing it all out without gloves lol) but my ears/forehead/neck weren’t stained at all... I have no idea what kind of magic that is but I’m kind of amazed. The runnier formula also makes it really easy to apply, which was nice. Long story short— it’s good stuff and I’m buying more.

Blue everywhere
My hair is really dark and I just refuse to bleach it before adding dye, so I was pleased that it did "dye" my hair. It just seems darker but in the sun you can see the "blue color." The only thing I am just really done with is blue everywhere. I can't touch my hair cause my hands will turn blue. I have to wear gloves to style my hair so they don't turn blue when I'm done. I keep washing it but it never seems to stop. Like with other hair dyes eventually you stop seeing color... not with this. Do I love the color, most definitely but will never buy again because trying to be careful to not get color everywhere is exhausting.

Pretty colors!!
Shade: candy floss Shade: peppermint 4 stars because I ordered 2 candy floss and only received one bottle - had to wait another week for seller to ship 2nd bottle. LOVE the colors though!! Fades quickly which is a bummer. You need super blonde hair for great results and make sure to wash then blow dry to open hair follicles to let dye sink in.

Not lilac
Bought the lilac for a few streaks in my white hair, easy to apply but it wasn't purple at all!!! It's BLUE.. not what I wanted at all

Didn’t work at all
My hair is already platinum blonde. I wanted a purple color all over like the bottle. The only reason you see purple hues are because I used some other brand from Target after I could tell this product was doing nothing.

Awful bleed. Seems more like food dye than an actual pigment depositing dye. Still ran like crazy after 5 washes. Everything is stained. I’ll stick to AF.
