I ordered this product to fix an issue with my son's amplifier....was a great experience troubleshoot this with my son, old damaged unit was making horrible noise on the amplifier. Once we replace the EMI filter his amp sounds great and the experience of troubleshooting, ordering the part, wait for the arrival and fix it together was amazing!!!

I think it helps reduce noise.

while I haven't had the opportunity to fully test this since I am still waiting for other parts to arrive I can tell you that overall this feels and looks like a very well-built unit. It should very easily fit into the project that I am working on and is overall a small footprint to fit inside my case. This looks like it might even be an easy replacement on an older PC ATX power supply if it was cheaply built and didn't have one since it looks to be almost a direct replacement for the standard socket. I am looking forward to testing this and seeing how well it works.
