If you hate squirells in your garden you will love this!
OK, not the typical use case, I'll grant you that. But sprinkling this on delicate plants in the garden and blowing some down the squirrel tunnels with the shop vac eliminated my problem in the garden with ground squirrels.I'm pretty sure it would rock it in the kitchen too, but have not tried that.Recommended.

Excellent quality, flavor and heat
The pepper still has fantastic heat, fantastic flavor and is is great to spice of prepared meals I like from My Fit Foods which are healthy but never spicy enough for my taste. This just increases the taste and heat satisfaction for those types of foods, is great in homemade chili and I even used it in my own recipe for what I call Texas Curry & RedNeck Curry (below).Prescott's Texas Curry:25 Grams - Himalayan Salt (Baby Powder fine) for anti-clumping.5 Grams - Cardamom10 Grams - Cumin10 Grams - Cayenne Pepper20 Grams - Chili Powder40 Grams - Yellow Mustard Seed (Ground)20 Grams - Turmeric10 Grams - Ginger Powder10 Grams - Garlic Powder10 Grams - CorianderAdditions for Redneck Curry Batch #015 Grams - Jalapeno Powder3 Grams - Habanero Powder7 Grams - Ancho Chili Powder12 Grams - Chipotle Powder5 Grams - Smoked Serrano Chili Powder5 Grams - Salish Smoked Sea Salt

Purity is clearly questionable
I like spicy, but I like to enjoy flavor even more. Spicy that burns your mouth off without being able to taste anything has zero value. So I add Habanero power to most of my dishes that I want an extra bite to it. I also add jalapeno for its distinct flavor. I have almost used my existing supply of Habanero power, and the original seller is no longer on Amazon. I ended up buying this because the color of the powder in the image was close to what I had. To add context, I have previously made my own Habanero powder from store bought habanero peppers. I dehydrated them and ground them myself. The color come out orange, much like what I had bought the first time around. What I had received was not orange, it was the deep red. Much like how my jalapeno looks. Now, the images. What I received did not have the required nutrition label. The label on what I had purchased before clearly shows a single ingredient. I guess that Denver Spice can't be called out on their product if they don't tell you what’s in it in the first place. The third image is my bulk chili powder, which, by the way, is much closer in color to this recent purchase than the habanero powder I have grown to enjoy. With this being one of those Unable to return purchases, I am kinda screwed. But there is one thing I can truly say. I will never purchase a single thing from Denver Spice ever again. I guess I am back to making/growing my own.

probably the best scoville units value per cost
This is fairly fine red powder. Not really overpowering but has some decent heat. You get a pound of it in a bag, or maybe 16 ounces by volume. The ghost peppers and carolina reapers will have much more heat, but then again this will probably last most people a year or two depending on tolerance. I can't tell if it has been cut as others have claimed, but again, the heat is fairly decent so it is still a good value.

Worth it
Not as spicy as the fresh habanero, but if you need a little kick and can’t find fresh, this is for you.

Disappointing.
I live in SoCal, so I get fresh habañeros all year long. I expect more heat from powder, because powder is the concentrated version of the fresh fruit. It takes many pounds of fresh habañeros to make one pound of powder. Last I checked, capsicum doesn't evaporate. My other gripe is the paprika smell. I wonder: was the habañero powder diluted with paprika to make it more palatable for the mild-tounged folks? I know that one pound of fresh habañeros costs about $6 locally (where it grows), so assuming that it took at least ten pounds fresh to make one pound dried/powdered, I guess I have a hard time believing that I got 100% habañero powder for about 12 bucks, because here I purchased 1.5 ounces for $6.
