Very sharp, very durable
The saw easily cuts through branches up to four inches in diameter and may work for larger branches but I haven't tried larger diameters. It makes precise cuts easily, and would be great for quality woodworking, though I use it primarily for pruning. The handle and overall build are very solid with a good grip. This saw is a great value for the price.

The Perfect Saw For a Crazy Project
When I bought my place in Florida, I inherited a circa-1985 bamboo-faced tiki bar. It was fun for a while, but mostly a coat rack. I thought it would make an awesome desk/computer workstation. It was 10 inches too tall and 2 shelves had to come out. I chose this saw because the blade was a bit thicker than usual. That came in handy to keep the cuts straight. And even then, my saw cuts were no more than 3/32nds wide.Enter my handy-dandy pull saw. You know what's fragile? The 35-year-old split bamboo facing. You know what's not fragile? The 35-year-old seasoned oak frame. With some care, this saw took care of both with no splintering of the bamboo. I even went through a couple of nails buried in the rock-hard oak without even realizing it.And now, I'm going to take care of a couple of landscaping issues and volunteer trees. Do not hesitate to grab this saw for medium duty projects. Requires very little physical strength, just some patience.

Very versatile
Great handle, vert sharp blade so keep your guiding hand or fingers the hell out of the way. This is my third saw as I’ve hit nails or screws with previous ones. Will buy again and again.

Durable and keeps a sharp edge.
I’ve had this saw for over a year and it is my first choice, above my more expensive Japanese saw, for most woods on smaller projects. It cuts fast on rip cuts and cross-cuts and has kept a sharp edge despite hitting a nail or two along the way. I would highly recommend this saw to all woodworkers.

Accuracy and quality at any angle
I have long dreamed of having a hacksaw for qualitative and accurate cutting of wooden blanks. This hacksaw was purchased complete with Sawing angle guide Mini Set(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CED1UK/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_13) from the seller Japan FAN Store(from Japan), which provide fast free shipping. This purchase has cost me much cheaper than doing it in JapanWoodworker.сom from California [...] .I am satisfied with operating characteristics of this saw.Recommend.

Fine saw
I've been using Japanese-style pull saws for years. I quite prefer them. Irwin offers five different pull saws; I have four of them and gave five stars to each in reviews a few years ago.So far I like this Okada S-265 saw. It is sharp! Nice silky cut edges. Tracks straight without effort.I particularly like the retail sleeve that can be used as a sheath in addition to the little edge guard that is included.

A very convenient Okada Japanese Saw!
It does what it is expected to do...for a very close cutting saw for all wood types...anergonomic handle is a plus...

Unusually thick blade
Very thick blade for a Japanese saw. Blade is .023 thick and with tooth set is .037 thick which is thicker than a western saw!!!
