This thing works great, we have 2. We use them for ventilating sealed rooms while we spray solvent paints. Very portable. Some people complain about the fact it comes without a plug but alot if larger tools come without plugs so I don’t see what the fuss is about

Heavy duty and solid. Looks like it is well made. I bought this and a Morphorn 12" heavy duty hose to exhaust overspray from a DIY paintbooth (in my garage). Overall very happy with the purchase. I would have rated 5 stars but am only giving 4 because the fan is a little louder than advertised. I don't have any fancy sound measuring equipment so can't be sure of the exact db level but I know for sure it is over the promised 69 db. I used the Decibel X app on my iphone and it measured 80 db at about 10 to 12 ft from the fan. Standing 3 ft from the fan it measured 84. Not a deal breaker for me as I intend to put some sound proofing materials around it when I finish the installation of the fan and hose.This looks to be a very good product for the price and I am very happy overall.

It’s bizarre that this unit comes without a plug, just pigtails coming out of the wire. I guess some people might want to hardwire it, but that could be solved by including a removable plug. After it arrived I had to order a separate NEMA 15A / 125V plug to actually use it. A bit misleading because the item’s pictures definitely don’t show the bare wires.It’s also clear that the claimed noise level of 69 dB is a huge lie, as noted by other reviewers. From a few feet directly in front of the fan, I registered 96 dB, and about 85-86 dB from 10 feet away from it. That’s enough of a difference that there’s no way the claimed loudness is correct (stated as comparable to a regular indoor vacuum).It does seem to move a lot of air, and hopefully it’s truly explosion proof. Obviously you can’t complain about the price. The model that arrived had different branding than the item photos but looks like it’s probably the same unit.
