Great as a saddle stand
The cost of folding pipe metal saddle stands has gotten exorbitant. I found this quilt stand as an alternative, and from the reviews, saw that others were using it for much heavier tack than I needed it for. It works really well for my kid’s little Wintec leadline saddle and the pads and girth, as well as her helmet. We are uncouth horse people, and it lives in our dining room. I think it looks nice! It is not sturdy enough to sit on the saddle while it is stored on it, as you can with some stands, but it is definitely sturdy enough for storage - even beyond this generation of her tack, which she will outgrow. As has been mentioned, it was a pain to assemble; however, if you lay one curved end flat on the floor with the screws started and the dowels oriented vertically, then place the other curved side on top of them, it is much easier. I did it myself without extra hands, and it took 15-20 minutes, because I was also helping the kid with a book report. This was a good buy.

Cute quilt rack for someone on a budget
It's a nice little quilt rack for the price. It was a bit time consuming to assemble, not because it was hard to figure out, but because not all the holes were drilled properly so it took a lot of elbow grease. It's not perfectly level after I assembled it so it does wobble a tiny bit when removing heavy quilts.I'm currently using it just for wall hangings, table runners, and one lap quilt at the moment.I love the color and the style. But again, if you want something super sturdy that can hold heavy queen size or king size quilts and looks fancier, this probably isn't your quilt rack.

Helpful tips
I needed a rack to hold some larger, random pieces of leather to store them between leather working projects. saw some people using this rack for saddles, so I figured it would hold up to the weight of multiple layers of leather (which it is more than able to do so).I saw some people mentioning difficulty in assembly. And there are some potential tight spots to be sure. This is how I did it:There are six rungs/bars on the stand. The top two and the bottom two have predrilled holes. The middle two (without holes) are held in place by the pressure of the sides (without screws). The predrilled holes are too small for the provided screws. I took a 7/32 drill bit and widened the holes on the four predrilled rungs.I started at the top and put the top two rungs in place but did not tighten their screws completely yet. I repeated the process with the lower two rungs and left them almost, but not completely, tightened. Then I slipped the middle two rungs in place before tightening all of the screws.I can definitely see the difficulty in tightening everything down if you used the existing screws in the predrilled holes.Happy with the product for my needs, and after those slight modifications, there was no issue with assembly.

Quality control
They need to have better quality control because the middle holes were not even drilled for the middle bars to go in. Someone should be aware that there were only four holes instead of six like there was supposed to be. That’s poor quality control if they’re letting things go out like this. I’m nervous to replace it because who knows how long it took them to find out this was happening before they corrected it. Which means there could be a huge batch like this. I ordered a second one and it was impossible to get the screws to go in properly and to make matters worse I could not even remove the screws so I could then box it up and return it. I am stuck with it and I am completely unhappy because I cannot use it it looks horrible. The screws are not tight and there’s no way to tighten them or to pull them out.

Warped , uncomplicated but difficult to assemble
If I had tried to use the included Allen wrench to assemble this blanket rack I would have rated it zero stars but I used an impact driver, an extra set of hands and honestly pure spite to put it together. It didn’t take long. Loosely tighten the dowels on one side, set the assembled portion on end then fit the other side and screw in the opposite end of the dowels. I then set the whole thing upright to check for levelness and fully tighten the screws. It has a wicked wobble. I loosened and retightened the screws several times and the rack can be loose and level or tight and warped. Take your pick. I will need to level it somehow with felt. I’m using this as an extra saddle rack in a small space and it is sturdy enough for my purposes even with the wobble.

With a little elbow grease, this is an awesome, attractive saddle stand
Okay, I won't lie. It was a pain to put together by myself (read: it sucked). I highly suggest having an extra pair of hands to assist, or a drill or impact driver and wood clamps to keep the rails and frame steady as you drill the first screws. After the initial assembly, you may begin to have regrets. In fact, at this point, you will have doubted all your life choices up to this moment. It will be wobbly, and you might cry. After you decide not to give up on life, grab a drill to tighten the screws. A drill with an Allen wrench attachment is absolutely necessary, unless you want to use your own wood screws. That being said, all in all it took me about an hour to 90 minutes and some dignity to assemble by myself once I figured out a system. Once assembled and tightened, it's very sturdy, and holds my 17.5" Custom Saddlery dressage saddle plus pads just fine. Super attractive. I'd leave it in my living room if it wasn't weird to have your tack next to your couch.45 lb dog assistant for scale.
