Fun stuff to play with.
I bought this set back in May for a project and was very pleased with how it came out. That project only used a few feet of the green and red. For December I created a snowman for my mom, she collects them and I've given her many. It came out great. I Still had wire left over so I created a Mandalorian helmet for my friend's son. There was still wire left over so I created a mythosaur from the Mandalorian. I liked the mythosaur so much I created a redesigned second and gave it to a friend for Christmas.I started another project but ran out of red, I'd purchased another set from a different vendor and checked it with an inverter only to find it was really dim. I wasn't going to use that dim stuff on my new project so I put it aside and ordered this set again.I haven't used a lot of EL wire, but this stuff has been a lot of fun to work with and has set an expectation that at least one vendor hasn't been able to meet. I've had to learn how solder to it which took some time and effort and a number of failures, but I'm starting to get good at it. The big challenge is stripping the the coating without breaking the tiny angel wires, for some reason I found the red, white and green wires easier to work with than the blue, but I've developed a system that works reliably. A tip if you're going to use multi colors in a single project, while you can wire these in series I find wiring them in parallel to be much easier. You can buy packages of JST connectors with pig tails from Amazon. The blue, white, and green seem to glow a little brighter than the red. In darkness or near darkness they all look great but the red washes out with a little background light. The inverters work but are a lower quality than others you can buy. Still, you get one with each coil. If you're doing many projects with the same wire eventually you'll run out of inverters and will have to buy more, they're available from many sources and in many styles including some you can plug into the wall and some that use coin batteries.I wish the red was as bright as the rest, but it's brighter than what I've gotten from other vendors. I also wish the slow blink on the inverter was a touch slower. As for battery life my mom got 2 days on the snowman with continuous use which seems a bit low considering the entire length of wire is less than a couple of feet. However, considering how this stuff works wire length may not make a difference on battery life, I am still pretty new with it.Overall I gave this a 5 due to the amount of pleasure I've gotten and others around me have gotten from the projects I've done. Brightness may be a function of the chemistry and I don't know if this is as bright as it can be, but it's at least better than some. As for the inverters, I've bought better ones from other sources but definitely not at this price point, singly the better ones run $8 or more and here you get 4 with wire for less than $20 and that's a pretty good bargain.

Work well, not super bright, but OK especially for price
Would have liked some bigger one, brighter one's, but for the price, what can one do.

I received this item today and at first was very pleased with it but after plugging in batteries I found that the green el wire doesn't work properly. It barely lights up and when it does it is only illuminated in certain places and isn't usable. The other wires work great and light up brighter than expected I just wish they all worked. Needed the green one especially for my project.

Worked for 1 day
Red color is more orange. Light is not bright, battery box is flimsy and emits loud screeching sound - product lasted 1 day before breaking and not working with any of the battery boxes. Don't take the cheap route, get a quality product instead so you don't have to do this twice or three times.

Homemade neon sign
Made a sign for my bf restaurant. It was semi easy to work with we will find out how sturdy it is once this texas weather hits. Was so glad i could cut the wires big plus. Wish they would plug into the wall batteries can get pretty expensive
