Proper pag 42 w/o the snake oil additives
I used the ac delco pag 42 on my truck when i did a proactive ac compressor swap, i needed to just do oil balancing there. This stuff worked great, figured I didn't want to mix in some off brand oil to i got a tube of the ac delco stuff.Plenty left over for work on my other vehicles.Later the wifes buick needed ac work, her compressor exploded/seized up.Full flush and fresh pag oil needed, i found the ac delco pag tube on amazon this time around with faster shipping.Again, using all ac delco parts it makes more sense to use the oem pag oil that doesn't have any weird mystery additives like some nonsense called "ice".Yup, forget that nonsense. It was also difficult to find proper flushing liquid that didn't also advertise snake oil as a selling feature... lol

Your AC system wants ACDelco PAG Oil
Per TSB, this is the correct 100 viscosity PAG oil for 1999 Sierra and other GM/GMC vehicles, a bit superior to aftermarket oils which may not be as hydrophobic as ACDelco oil. Flush any components not being replaced. drain oil from compressor (even if new). This is 8oz which is the correct capacity for many of the vehicles listed, but check specs for your vehicle. You can safely put all the oil in the compressor, making sure to manually turn the compressor several times by hand (usually clockwise, same direction as your serpentine belt) Other vehicles in this Technical Service Bulletin: R134a systems for 2006 and Prior GM Passenger Cars and Trucks (Including Saturn), 2003-2006 HUMMER H2, 2006 HUMMER H3, and 2005-2006 Saab 9-7X. EXCEPT NOT FOR vehicles with a R4 or A6 type compressors (for these continue using GM P/N 12356151 or A/C Delco part number 15-118)

It works
Used this oil to recharge my dreaded 2016 Silverado condenser. 2oz into the suction hose and it was good to go. OEM is the best.
