Q: How is this to vacuum or wash?

It has a soft backing. I have an elder dog and he leaked on it one night. Story in short, the carpet fits like a comforter in the wash. Dried with low heat. Came out fine.

Q: Is this rug fire resistant?

My first gut answer is No, just based on the material.

Q: I just opened the rug and put it on the floor. It’s a little slick to walk on. Will it get a little less slick as it’s walked on?

Day 5 and mine seems less slick as it’s filled out more

It’s not very thick at all probably about .7 inch -1 inch in thickness you can still feel the floor under the rug but it does have some slight cushiony feel when you first step or sit on it. The hair on the carpet doesn’t add thickness to it, it’s more like a shaggy covering of the actually cushion below it and the material used to make the shaggy look is very fine and not as dense as expensive carpets or rugs.
