Thomas & Friends Take N Play Special Edition Gold Thomas

My son is a lover all things Thomas, and that being the case, we've used these die cast trains as incentives for potty training (worked beautifully). Wooden trains were way to expensive and not portable enough for us, plus diecast can take a beating without too much damage.This is my favorite special edition Thomas to date. He's so shiny and special, and even my toddler makes a big deal out of it when he plays with it like he thinks this Thomas is extra special. His paint job is very shiny and attractive, and he's a standout in my son's vast collection. He's got the nice sturdy styling of the other smaller engines and can be easily and unnoticeably transported in a purse for restaurant entertainment.. He's a terrific addition to any child's collection, especially because he's the flagship character on the show. He drives just fine over the edge or our ottoman (our son's favorite pastime with cars and trains) and has held up to umpteen crashes with the floor.Like the others in the Take-n-Play line, he's durable and cute and looks like the character on TV.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son whom loves Thomas. Did not disappoint! Was his favorite present of all of them. The sender was so sweet, made sure my child didn’t do an Amazon shopping spree without parent’s approval and sent a kind note inside the package.

My son loves it. But I think the paint looks a little cheaper than the track masters paint and the regular take and plays. It's like a plastic look not well finished idk maybe because it's a gold color but still. If your child loves Thomas like mine do then ignore what I just said about the paint work lol and just buy it to make them happy.

The trains were much smaller then expected However my cousins loved it!! Perfect for on the go and well made. I totally recommend it!

The "gold" appearance is spectacular. However, I expected better quality and a product more like the Thomas products I am used to buying - more wood than plastic, wheels that actually roll (instead of "underbody" wheels to make it roll), a product more compatible with use on the existing $600 worth of track I have bought for my grandsons. So, this "special" is special in name, perhaps, but not in value or worth. It's okay because my grandson is happy with it.

My son was absolutly obsessed w Thomas we threw him a Thomas themed 3rd birthday party and had to order him this he absolutly loved it. Thomas in general is expensive, but this was so worth it.

This item is so small a quarter is bigger than it. It really not worth the money. My grandson ask for his glasses to see it.
