Bought one of these several years ago to keep on a collector car - it starts every time I need it and runs perfectly - this tender keeps the battery at full capacity at all times. My battery is now 8 years old and still has it's original reserve and starting capacity based on the last time I tested it.I just bought another one to keep on my pickup at our lake cabin - it sits for several months at a time and the battery had to be replaced after 3 years - even though it still had some warranty on it, it was 4x the cost of this unit. So now it stays connected when we aren't at the lake - and it starts strong and all the electronics work as expected even after sitting for several months. Used to be difficult to drive until the battery had charged up some from the alternator since the transmission is managed electronically. It would stay in first and second gears until the battery had sufficient voltage to allow it to shift. Now, I can get into the truck after six weeks of not having driven it and runs exactly as it should. It's an investment but it'll save you money in the long run since you won't be replacing batteries nearly as often.

This charge works well had to use it twice on 2 different vehicles.

My Honda 2014 Accord group 51 battery was dead after sitting for 3 weeks. These batteries (AGM) are notorious for being weak. I put this charger on, and the battery had enough voltage to allow it to recharge the battery fully. After several weeks of use in the car the charger appears to have made this battery healthy again.Tho slightly pricey I do trust the Battery Tender brand.

I first installed this model battery tender on a SUV at my fire department a few years ago and when I needed one for my private vehicle, I purchased another unit. Its to use with either lead acid batteries or AGM batteries. It is a bit bulky compared to other models but not too large for most applications. I use the unit to maintain the charge for a truck which only gets occassional use and has electronics on board which would otherwise drain the battery. Because I don't want the inconvenience of connecting and reconnect the tender, I mounted the tender behind the grill, away from the radiator and engine heat, and protected from the elements. Rather than having a cord hang out of the front of the grill, I permanently installed a twenty dollar power inlet in the bumper which added a nice finished appearance. Total install time less than 30 minutes.ONE WORD OF CAUTION: This is VERY easy to install but if your vehicle has a battery monitering system (BMS) as do many vehicles built in the last ten years do) you should connect the negative tender line to the battery cable below the monitor to the outbound side of the BMS rather than on the post side of the BMS. Do a few minutes research and you will learn why this is important.

This has been great so far, keeping our Motorcycles charged. I swap it back and forth between my Bike and my Wife's Bike! My 1st trickle charger wasn't keeping up with the Florida heat!🔥🔥

I’ve had a battery tender for many years, and original one and I still use it today. No issues after many years of constant use. This model is new to me. More capable. Higher rate of charge plus float. Using it on a vehicle I drive may be once every two or three weeks. I’ve only had it for about a week, but it’s functioning as designed.. I am using it with the alligator clips as the ring terminals are not usable for a side post battery. Quite disappointed as I wanted to leave the harness attached to the battery and the vehicle and just disconnect the line from the harness. The ring terminals will not fit behind the battery post Screws or in front of them. So I find them useless. The reason is that the molded part of the ring terminal is too close to the hole not allowing it to be put behind side post, terminals or in front of the terminal. Going to contact battery tender and find out the intended use or if they have something that fits on side post terminals. Still gets a five star rating for the product, the charger itself. I may cut them off and install my own terminals. Shouldn’t have to do that.
