Replacement Filter for Personal Space Cooler Ultra Air Cooler and for NexFan Cooler (Not for Pure Chill Cooler)

I bought this filter to have a second filter when using the AC unit. The pictures & descriptions led me to believe I would receive the same filter or one that was similar made. The filter sent is very cheaply made. It doesn’t have plastic in all sides. There are less than 1/2 the original blue felt strips - so the cool/cold air lasts much less than the original filter. I don’t know if I would buy again.

While it does fit Arctic Air, be aware that it is wider than the original. The original Arctic Air filter is 1.75" wide. This one is 2.25" wide. While it does "fit", it gets stuck on the two guide tabs cast into the Arctic Air tray. My solution was to just cut those two tabs off. Alternatively, you could notch two grooves into the sides of this filter with a Dremel tool. Just be aware that if you try to use it as-is, you have to jam it down and it is hard to close the tray, and can get stuck.

It's too big for the store bought chiller it states it fits

The filters do work as advertised, my only real issue with them is the fiber portions that hold the water like to fall out, as long as you can keep them in the work good.

I think all of these filters from every company are priced too high for what they are, but this one fit in the machine with no problems and worked as expected. The soft blue or purple strips in this one are a little thinner than the ones that originally came in the machine, but the outer plastic housing is exactly the same so it fit properly. I bought this as a spare so I could have one in the machine and one in the freezer and then just switch them out as needed. I did not see any evidence these were performing any worse or wearing out any faster than the original filter.

This was used in my "Seen on TV" Artic Freeze unit. I used it in a small room, and with these units it is A MUST that you buy extra filters. Because you have to soak the filters in(distilled/perified) water, and then freeze them. So you can change them out constantly to have barley any cooler air for maybe 10 - 15 minutes before your putting in another frozen filter and also REALLY COLD distilled/filtered water. And getting the one u just took out clean and ready and frozen to use again. It works if that's all you have, and a bunch of time and patience.

Works as stated

It barely fits the unit, and as some have said, the filters fall out when wetting them, not very happy but it does it’s job…. I do have to fight with it to get the unit to close but it does eventually fit.
