These are great batteries for items needing a long time trickle option for ongoing charging.

They are batteries, they do what batteries do.

Used these for my smoke alarms….to keep everyone safe in our house….Working great!

I've been working with industrial electronics for over twenty years and have access to higher grade test equipment than the average end user so I did a quantitative analysis of the gray 9V batteries I received. Fortuitously, there was a (relatively) fresh proper yellow canned Duracell ProCell lying around the shop so I was able to add that to the comparison table. The basic analysis to take away is (with out dissecting the battery case) the cells appear to behave almost identically to the original yellow packaged ProCells, whereas the fresh plain "copper top" has a much higher internal resistance at load, the gray batteries match more closely with the yellow Duracell ProCell. The only thing I particularly don't trust is the crimp quality of the top and bottom of the can (evident in the attached comparison photo). Weaker crimp quality could create a situation where alkaline cell leakage can more easily "burst" the battery can, and the crimp quality difference is significant. The unit with "DURALOCK" on it was extracted from a piece of test equipment for visual comparison and not used in the test due it's age/wear.

The item is great.It took way too long to get a box of 9 Volt batteries.It took weeks to get them.

On time right item

I use this batteries every year to swap out the previous year's batteries from our smoke detectors, around the house.We no longer suffer through the dead battery chirps that used to plague us at night. These last all year, and then, after a year of use, still have enough power to run my guitar foot pedals. Plus they come with plastic caps to isolate the electrodes during storage, which are also reusable to storage after initial use.

I buy a box of these 9 volts every year, so I can change all my smoke detector batteries and still have some spares for all the other 9v gizmos. They’re always fresh and test out at 9.6 to 9.8V.I’ve been using this brand of batteries for probably 15 years in my professional life as a task force leader. I’ll conservatively say that I’ve ordered over 1000 CR123s, and probably 250 AAs and never had a problem with leakage or a shorter-than-listed shelf life.I ordered my most recent box of 12 of these 9Vs on 2-14-22, and had them the very next day. The expiration date on those batteries was March of 2026, so a little more than 4 years of shelf life.I did notice that they changed the color from yellow to black, but hopefully they perform the same.Hope this helps.
