I can't do without this in my car!
We recently bought a new car and the GPS navigation is in front of my view, near where the speedometer is. Its great but I still need my car mount. Its just so helpful. I did not use the suction, even before my new car, b/c I don't want to damage the dash and I don't like it on the windshield. I use it in the AC vent. Yea, I lose the ability to move that vent but its not biggy. I sent one to each of my kids and they use it too!

I love this product. It's versatile and I was able to mount it in an odd place for better viewing. It pops open with a simple click on the back.Very easy to use!

Prius Prime Plus/LE vent or (any trim) dash works great
For over 6 years, I used a cruder vent mount in my Prius Prime, which used constant spring pressure to hold the phone, meaning I had to manually fight the spring with two hands to spread it back open and take the phone out. On this, you squeeze to clamp it however lightly/tightly you want, but then just squeeze the release button on the back to release the phone without needing to use two hands. The base model of Prius Prime (originally Plus, then LE) with the non-monstrous screen and the nicer vents than higher trims, is a bit of a challenge to keep a vent mount tight on. The vent mount included with this, fits in great and clamps it in place really well, with the bottom vent slat being the best due to how the bottom of the vent mount then braces onto the bottom/dash part of the car's vent assembly.A friend has the exact same car as me, and I just noticed she has also has the Torras holder, except I have the enhanced one and she has the classical. She is a medical worker doing home visits to patients, so is always using her phone for calls, finding emails with addresses, and keeping a schedule, while driving for work. She also uses phone navigation apps, while I am lazy and just use the Toyota nav system. She chose to use the dash mount arm, instead of the vent mount. She put the suction cup straight onto the textured dash, left of the steering wheel, not even using the mounting plate. She says that about annually, she removes it and cleans the suction cup and the dash, then suctions it down again, and it is good to go for another year.I'm a mechanical engineer. This thing is very well thought out and very well made. I wish I'd gotten it years ago, instead of struggling with my little spring-loaded mount all that time. I'm hoping the ball size on the arm mount fits into the ball socket on one of my old Garmins, if I can find my drawer full of them. If it does, then I basically got 2 mounts for the price of one. Maybe I'll get another one to add a display for a "backup camera" I should add to the front of the car.

Good quality but not for Popsocket users.
The media could not be loaded. There are several positives and a few negatives on this phone holder. I will try to be thorough so you can decide for yourself if this is a good option for what you need. The device seems to be of good quality and is nice looking. The clamps on the side have a non-slip rubber rather than padding which I liked, and the bracket on the bottom of the phone holder being able to adjust either up or down to accommodate a longer phone is a big plus. The suction cup has an adhesive gel on it which I like, because in my experience, those tend to hold better than a suction cup alone. The device comes with both a dash mount plate, a windshield option as well as a vent clip which are all nice features. The windshield mount has a neck on it that slides in and out, allowing a driver to bridge the distance between the telephone and their reach. I did notice that the neck does not have a stop knob on it, but rather divots to keep it from sliding out. I'm not sure if that is something that could potentially fail over time. It was more of an observation that it could use an extra knob to keep that from happening. The phone cradle has a divot on the inside plate which I was hoping would allow for a Popsocket to fit. Unfortunately that was not the case. The depth of the phone holder was not as generous as I was hoping it would be, causing my phone to lean forward and not sit properly. The only way to accommodate the Popsocket on my phone case would be to position the phone 2/3 of the way up and over the top of the holder, using both the popsocket hooked over the top of the bracket as well as the side grips, pressed in more toward the lower half of the case rather than the middle where it should sit, to keep it from falling. While this is not ideal, it has worked in the past with a similar phone holder. I was just hoping to avoid that. And while I had considered buying a Popsocket holder specifically instead of one with a clip mount, but I don't want to rely on the adhesive on a Popsocket to keep my phone from dropping to the floor. If this bracket were half an inch deeper it would have worked just fine. Due to the shallowness of it, I will likely be returning it. That is not to discourage anyone who has an OtterBox or any other thick phone case. As long as you do not have a popsocket on the back or a ring of some kind it should work just fine.Lastly I do want to make mention of the plastic part that the knob itself clips into on the back of the holder. My last one failed because of that, rendering the holder itself completely useless. I've included a video to better show what I'm talking about as it's kind of hard to put into words.Overall I am going to give this case 4 stars. Even though I am likely going to be returning it, it does seem to be of good enough quality to consider purchasing if you are in the market for a phone holder that does not need to be 2" deep.

Very sticky, very durable, best phone holder ever
This is hands down the best car phone holder I’ve ever owned. Not only is it durable and easy to use, but it is truly well designed. You can mount it basically anywhere and it has a 4” reach, so it is adjustable. Very functional and convenient. I’ve used this phone holder since 2020 in two different vehicles - a 2004 Hyundai Elantra and a 1993 GMC Sierra K1500. The GMC has 180,000+ miles and is used in 4X4 on a regular basis. I live in the upper midwest and spend a good deal of time off-road, on gravel, and on dirt roads. It is the nature of where I live. The phone has never fallen out. The holder has only fallen off twice and that was in ambient heat of 150°F+. I simply had to clean the dash and re-apply it. It sticks in sub-zero temperatures as well, unless it hits about -40F° or so. What is nice is you can mount it on your dash OR windshield. as long as the surface is flat or semi-flat it will fit, so it doesn’t affect your visibility while driving at all as you can mount it where it best fits for you. 5/5 this is the only holder I will ever use for the rest of my life.
