If you are considering playing an Irish flute, and have never so much as touched a flute, you have found your next instrument. Don't waste your money on an expensive flute until after you have learned to play on this. Don't buy a cheap wooden one either, because it will likely be more difficult to play, if at all. I haven't found anything else on the market like it. It does feel a bit cheap due the plastic thickness/density (for example, a $9 recorder feels rugged compared to this), but the quality is in how well it plays, not its performance as a baseball bat. Of course, playing this flute will be difficult at first, just like any flute, but at least with this flute you be sure that the instrument won't be the cause of the problems.

In terms of value for the money, this Irish flute can't be beaten. Easy to play, nice warm sound, low price. Recommended.
