Beautiful book and pictures.Lots of detailed information, so although it's an "alphabet book" I would give it more to a 4th through 8th grader.Excellent choice for a gift to a host or an out of town Derby Guest.Go KY Derby!

A great gift for Kentucky Derby time. Or a wonderful resource book for the Derby -- easy to read in short bursts with young children, letter by letter. Very interesting material and beautiful pictures.

My wife and I moved to Kentucky for Grad School and instantly fell in Love with the history of the Kentucky Derby. When my wife graduated with a Degree in Education, her first job was teaching Kindergarten. I bought her this book, which she had seen at a friends house and she has used it in her classroom ever since. perfect for young children just starting to read.

Even I grandma enjoyed sharing the book with grandchildren ages 5 and 7. We had a fun day learning about the history of the Kentucky Derby on the day of the Derby.

Well written, can be enjoyed by children and adults both

I collect ABC books. D is for Derby is a welcome addition. The pictures are beautiful. Some of the words chosen for the letters could have been better. The book is geared equally for an adult,teen or younger child. It is not redommended for toddlers.

Nice book

I bought this title because I have other titles written by this author. And just like the other titles, this one does not disappoint. In particular the illustrations are just gorgeous. These illustrations make this title worth the purchase.
