Excellent: Really works, easy to install, well built. Adjusting it is cumbersome but that perhaps cannot be avoided.
To my surprise, this actually works. It was easy to install and it appears to be made of quality materials. My office air vent is the type with concentric square vent blades: a small square in the middle, then larger squares as you out, of the overall size that Teak Isle specified their cover is made for. Their vent cover cuts out about 90% or 95% of the air flow. The only slight weakness is that, at least on mine, to open or close their adjustable vent cover you have to use some force; it is not easy but I soon got the hang of it. That may be unavoidable, as if it were looser it may cause problems? Perhaps not.I also have to stand on a desk to reach the vent cover to open or close it, but that's a different matter. I usually stand first on a solid chair, then go from the chair to the desk.... I go nice and slow. I don't think you could open or close it using a broom handle while standing on the floor. It requires too much pressure. Our department manager is small and not so agile; she has not ordered one because of the adjustment issue. On the other hand, I assume most people would rarely need to adjust it once they go the size of the opening right. This vent cover worked so well completely closed that my office began to smell stuffy from lack of air flow, so each evening before going home I open the vent up again. My problem is actually not being cold. I have dry eyes, and the breeze from the open vent was not so pleasant. Teak Isle solved that problem and I am grateful.I have read elsewhere that one should not block too many vents on your system as that could damage things.

Air Blocker for 24" x 24" ceiling vents
I ordered these for our offices as there was a girl that was always freezing in her office regardless of what the temperature was set on. We installed two of them in her office and completely blocked off the air flow into her room. They work very well, her room stays much warmer even when the A/C is running. They actually work so well that my boss wanted some for his office after we installed the first set. Now that their offices are nice and comfortable my office feels like a walk in freezer, due to more air blowing out my vents. The servers, DVRs and a lot of other computer systems are in my office though, which is good for them, so I just bundle up and keep myself warm. If you are not just trying to divert the airflow and actually want to stop the flow of air entering specific rooms then I suggest these simple to install air blocking vents. There are no tools required to install and they took me one or two minutes to install.

Perfect!!!
My new office was freezing with constant airflow that is controlled by a maintenance building downtown. I ordered this on Friday and received it by Monday. I am NOT handy so I was a little worried about installing but it was very easy. I pushed up the existing vent then slid the new one in! Out of respect for the building not being my personal property I didn't want to remove the old vent completely (but was willing to so that I wouldn't have to suffer from the cold). To my surprise I didn't have to remove it. After I put the new one in, I could slide the old one back in place. So basically, the old one is resting on top of the new one. You can't even tell. I was done in less that 5 minutes and my office immediately felt better.Well made...well worth it!

Works great, once I added braces to the corners
Although I feel it's too expensive, it's the only product available like it. I'd give it 5 stars except they cut one too many corners and it came up just a tad too small. I installed it easy enough by pushing up on the vent cover and slipping it in the grid. However, it kept slipping out due to it being just a tad too small. If I pushed it into one corner it would slip out of another. To correct the problem I bought some metal braces at the local hardware store and slipped those into the corners to keep it from slipping out. That fixed the problem. Now I can open and close the vent without it slipping out. Bear in mind, if the air pushes through your vent as hard as it does in my office, you are going to hear white noise when the vent it closed. I would rather have the noise than the cold air. I included a picture of it with the braces. I bought 3 different sizes of braces to see what would work. They all work, I would need at least 2. I intend to remove them one at a time and spray paint them white so they will blend. Overall I'm happy as I've been looking for a solution like this for years. If I change jobs, I'm taking it with me!

Heavy and flimsy
The item is made of heavy and flimsy plastic. It is center heavy and does not stay in place as shown in the picture. It is differently not worth the $45. This product would have been better, if it was made from harder plastic. Good design, but bad quality.

Works very well.
Easy to install. Expensive. Arguably too expensive for what it is, but it does work great. Stops the airflow from escaping vent perfectly. Allows for greater control of hot and cold zones in our offices.

Love this air vent!
These are great! Ordered one for my office and everyone else wanted one. Much more professional looking than the open vents or cardboard to lock or redirect the airflow.

Great Product, Really Expensive
Hard to believe someone hasn't been able to produce this for less than $80. It is a flat sheet of ABS plastic with triangles cut in it with another similar sheet on top, so that when you slide it, it will open or close. If I could have gotten something to control the flow of my AC vent for less, I would have, but this is probably your only option, and it does work just like you would want it to. The construction is very simple, but I probably wouldn't call it "cheap". This should probably last a lifetime. I wish they would have raised the backside of the edges slightly so it didn't push against the vent grating when you turn it to open or close, but basically 4 or 5 stars for the product and deduct a couple of stars for the price.
