Wow! This Yerba mate is delightful, smooth and delicious. Great taste! Love this! If you’re new to mate then this is a great starting point. A South American tea drink from a local plant. Argentinians say this is the best brand. Can get very bitter and strong if you the amount of loaves suggested, which per my taste is too much leaves

I purchased this specific blend for the fact that it isn't as bitter as others. While it does have some bitterness to it, I found that adding a small amount of honey brought out the citrus flavor, which I personally enjoyed. It gave me the morning kick I needed without the acidity of coffee. I was able to refill my cup 5 or 6 times without having to refresh the leaves. However, as much as I loved it, I wound up throwing the leaves in the trash after finding out that prolonged consumption of yerba mate is associated with throat, mouth, and lung cancer. Given that I already have brain cancer I figured it might not be the thing for me.
