303 Fabric Guard - One of the Best!
I have been a 303 products user for about 10 years now. The Fabric Guard is a consistent quality product for protecting fabric-based convertible tops for automobiles. I have used this material on a 2005 Mini Cooper and a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette with cloth tops. I apply the material at least once per month and the tops on my vehicles have maintained a new appearance even while enduring the high UV conditions here in the Southwest. The 303 Top cleaner can be used ahead of application. Be sure to apply after the top has thoroughly dried. A microfiber towel for application with a spray and "dabbing" process. Also when wiping off, try not to rub too hard on the top (recommended to prevent developing shiny wear marks). This product is also effective at preventing the soaking in of bird dropping. Also recommend wiping the material off of any painted or glass surfaces with a dry microfiber towel. It does not discolor painted surfaces.I will purchase this again due to it's consistent performance.

Best for waterproofing tents
I used this on my ezup canopy and it worked like a charm. A bit expensive, but worth it.

Works to refresh Sunbrella, get a different sprayer
Dried clear and seemed to refresh my old, expensive Sunbrella cushions. The cushions by my pool are white and were super expensive. We don’t leave them outside in the winter or overnight or when not in use but they started to lose their water repellancy with light cleaning and normal use. I washed the covers in the washing machine, put them back on the cushions and used this stuff. I bought 1 spray bottle and 1 huge refill. Ended up buying 2 more refills. Both because I have 1 couch, 1 chair, 4 chaise lounges, and about 10 throw pillows. You will SOAK the fabric with this stuff and it will take about 24 hours to dry. If you expect rain - put them in the garage but not the house. The smell while drying is strong like nail polish but goes away once dry.Once dry - the cushions will be soft again. I didn’t notice any staining or change of color. *Tip* buy a better spray bottle!! The one it comes with when you buy the sprayer sucks. It will get stuck, stop spraying, and your hands will be killing you!! I “permanently borrowed” one my husband had. See pictures

Great for waterproofing boat tops.
We've used this product for many years to waterproof our boat top once a year. The boat is 43' so the top is too big to get into a commercial laundromat washer. We wash it in place, let it dry for a day or two, then spread this product with a regular paint roller soaking the top. Rolling works much better than the spray bottles. Boat canvas is expected to last 8-10 years but ours is 15 years old and like new. This is a great five star product.

Good product. Poor customer service from 303.
I rate the product 4 stars. But, I rate 303 customer service 1 star. This product was recommended by the dealer where I bought my boat. I used it on the boat's cover for the first 2 years with great results. However, I noticed that there was more harm being done to the cover by the sun vs. rain and outdoor stains. I came to realize the 303 Fabric Guard was probably not a UV protectant, as I had originally believed it to be. The container does not indicate that it is or has any UV protectant. But why would a company offer a high end "fabric guard" that didn't protect the fabric from all the elements? This summer I considered buying the 303 UV Protectant product, as my boat cover is made of vinyl. I made 3 attempts to contact 303 customer service from the 1-800 number on the container, and get their expert opinion. What a joke! Each time, I spoke to someone who couldn't speak or understand clear English. One person said The Fabric Guard did have a UV protectant. Another said it did not. One person said it was ok to use the UV protectant on a vinyl boat cover. Another said it was for hard surfaces only. One person told me to mix the 2 products together. The one thing that was clear to me, was that 303's customer service people don't know their products! I wasn't going to risk further damaging a $1500 boat cover. Unsatisfied, with the inconsistency in their product knowledge, I asked the last person I spoke with to have a manager contact me with the answers to my questions. She assured me that someone would, but they never did. I am considering switching to another product next year that actually says that it is for both UV and water protection. Even if it isn't as good, and I have to apply it more often. Who knows, maybe it will be just as good.

Expensive, but the best I've found.
This is probably the best product for waterproofing things like Sunbrella covers, bimini's & outdoor furniture cushions. But it's also good for interior items like table runners, dining chairs, couches & pillows. Between all the canvas & cushions on the boat, patio furniture & the covers for them, the umbrellas, interior items, etc., we go thru about 2 gallons of this per year. It really makes a difference. It's much easier to keep things clean and from getting stained from daily wear & tear or spills. The patio furniture is in perfect condition under the covers, thanks to this. Without it, the waterproofing breaks down, water gets through, and the cushions get molded & stained. I recommend an extremely good cleaning, then a heavy coat of 303 every year (during whenever your hot, low-rainfall time of the season is).
