Drop in fit. Didn't last as long as OEM
My OEM thermal fuse lasted over a dozen years. This one lasted almost exactly two years. BUT, it was cheap and thanks to Amazon, it got here relatively quickly. Fortunately, I had got two when I ordered my original replacement. Ordering another one now so I will have a backup handy in probably two more years...

Good price, fast shipping
Some people are saying because of the low price the part does not last. I paid 8.00 a local appliance store wanted 49.00. Both parts were mad in China. I will take my chances with the 8.00 part. really fast shipping.

Correct Thermal Fuse, Poor Manufacturing
The thermal fuse went out on my Kenmore dryer after more than 15+ years of use. I ordered two replacements (one for a backup) at $7 each from AMI Parts. These are the exact same number fuses as the original, so there shouldn't be a problem. Installation was simple (I'm an electrician, I might add), the dryer was working for about 5 minutes. Then, I noticed that the heating elements weren't glowing orange as they should. The dryer kept spinning, but no more heat. After 1/2 hour of spinning, I was sure that the fuse I just put in went out. I took everything apart again and checked the fuse with an ohmmeter: Yes, the fuse went bad. So, I popped in the replacement fuse, happy that I ordered a backup. Same thing happened. No idea why these went bad in only a few minutes. Because, as I said before, it's the exact same rated fuse as the original that came with the dryer. The only thing I can think of is that these are poorly manufactured. My advice: FIND A BETTER THERMAL FUSE, DON'T BUY THESE! I'd rate these fuses at ZERO STARS if I could, WASTE OF MONEY

Saved the day.
This item saved me the cost of a new dryer. Only needed one part, but bought a package of 6 for future use if needed. Also this item will fit many other brands. Very easy to install.
