High quality set that didn't disappoint. Worth the investment for "Rummy Tiles" fanatics!! Quick shipment, great seller.
I was raised playing "Rummy Tiles". My Mom's set has a few chipped tiles, but has held up miraculously well for 20+ years of travel to the beach, being dropped and otherwise "abused". Sadly, I lost my sweet Mom and the Queen of Rummy Tiles this year. I very much wanted to keep the tradition of this wonderful game alive with my own son. This game set is very nice. I'd purchased a much cheaper game set for my brother last year. I quickly realized that was a mistake. Basically, you get what you pay for. In the interest of avoiding a repeat, I scoured the listings closely prior to making this purchase. When it arrived, I was very pleased it wasn't the same chintzy plastic from the cheap set. These tiles were much more substantial. The quality not quite on par with the set I was raised with, but probably as close as I'll get. Strangely, similar to the cheaper purchase, the colors are harder to differentiate. The "yellow" is more "orange", but shouldn't be a problem unless you're as obsessed with this game as I am. The trays that came with this game were fantastic! Even better than the old school set! Plenty of room to shift your tiles around without worrying about knocking them down. Avid rummy Tile fans know how annoying that is! Nice heavy tiles and great racks were great! I never "complain" in reviews without trying to rectify with a seller. In this case, it's not significant enough to do that. The listing wasn't misleading. I just hadn't thought about not having a "pouch" or bag to draw tiles from. We were in a pinch, so just used a pillow case. Not ideal, but it worked. It seems odd, but I can't find the "right" bag to use. It does come with a really sturdy case. A mini briefcase type of thing. I couldn't help but laugh thinking of what my Mom would say about that. When done playing, I started trying to line them up to store in the case. NOPE! That would have taken forever! It doesn't make sense, but certainly no fault of the seller. I'll find the perfect bag (maybe Mom's beat-up, but perfect bag) and all will be well. The quality of the tiles and racks probably can't be surpassed with a cheaper set and would probably require purchasing the set that's twice the price. Even I can't rationalize that. =) Perhaps a bit detailed for such a mundane purchase, but this game holds a lot of sentimental meaning for me also. Can't go wrong on this purchase. Quick shipment and good investment.

Very nice quality game set with disturbing warning sticker
I love this kit very much. I used to have cardboard box version Rummycube before, which I liked already. It was the same size, engraved numbers and all, with plastic rack, which was quite light. Then I got this one, and it's whole new level! the blocks are much heavy and sounds different! The box is easy to use and sturdy. (A bit heavy though) I am not sure if I like the soft & ccushioned synthetic leather around the box. It seems like it will tear (wear) off easier because of that in time. You have to assemble the plastic leg fot the rack everytime you play. Also, the rack is sturdier than the folding plastic rack I used to have, but it falls often anyway because the blocks are much heavier. Not that I would prefer cheaply made wooden rack to this though. Also, there was this disturbing sticker note on the box to warn that this game contains chemicals that can cause cancer, It seemed like seller had to put the warning about this according to LA?California? law. I don't really care because it dosn't mean products without this warning does not contain this same chemical, but I know it can be a real deal breaker for some people. It surely did lowered my satisfaction A LOT about this product. I will never forget this game might cause me the cancer everytime I play. Thank you, LA!Overall, it seems to be higher version of decent plastic Rummycube game. Worth the price, I guess!

Great Set!
Update:I still love this set. I held up nicely when I took it internationally and back (in checked luggage), and it has held up with play over time. The elastic has loosened a bit which makes putting the racks back in a breeze but still keeps them firmly in place.Original 2013 Review:These are great! I love Rummikub and needed to replace my vintage set that was misplaced during a move. The new version feels a bit cheaper (tiles weigh less and sometimes if the light hit right you can see what the tile is). These feel like my vintage game. The tiles are a nice heavy plastic(?). The case is substantial, if a bit too heavy, and the latches seem firm. The only cons I have are that the tiles don't "fill" the space so they can slide around (I'm planning to fly mine internationally so I'd prefer a snug fit) and that the reverse is true of the racks - they are hard to get out (hard to get leverage to lift the racks that are held down by the sewn in rubber strap.I think $25-30 is steep but you wouldn't be disappointed in my opinion however I got mine on sale for $12 and I feel like that's an amazing deal! I can't wait to play!To answer a few questions I saw:There are 4 racks for up to 4 players. The tiles feel like the same weight as older sets but I think they're a different material.

Great Set Overall! Tile Stands are Okay at Best.
My family loves Rummikub and can play it for hours. This was bought as a replacement for a travel set that we've lost. The tiles on this set feel great to play with and the numbers are engraved into them along with their paint. These won't wear down any time soon! Being used to the much smaller tiles of the travel set, this takes a bit of getting used to. It will work in a pinch as a portable set, but as a set for home, it's perfect! My big flaw in this, and has been shared with our family after a few hours of playing this, is the stands. The shelf to hold the tiles up is too narrow, and the tiles tend to try and slip off frequently if you're not careful. Also not a fan of their plastic legs. Instead of a hinge, its two plastic pegs that are inserted into the base. Works well now, but I can see it wearing down after a while.Great set otherwise. I'm in love with the clink of the tiles! 4 out of 5 overall!
