Beautiful colors
I saw these on sale and had to grab them. I’ve been wanting to try the QoR brand of watercolors since I’ve seen several ppl on YT using them. These paints are straight up beautiful, translucent color!! I added a pic of a little swatch I did when I got them so you can see just how bright they are and how the paper can still be seen clearly through the paints (no chalk paint here!). I also tested each to see how the color ran/bloomed, so I’ll know which to grab when I want that effect. The only two that needed a *little* help, by tapping my brush more than once, was the green gold and the orange. However, I would say definitely do your own test because these were quick little tests straight out of the tube and it could’ve been that my paint load was a little heavy and that’s why they didn’t take off like the others. The magenta color took off in the most explosive (in a good way😉), gorgeous pattern across the paper!! Which only confirms just how magical watercolor can be! I’ll be using these almost daily, so if I come across anything that could impact my review, I’ll come back and update to let you know. But right now, having used then a handful of times on small pieces, I’ll say I’m excited to reach for them each time because - well, just look at them, lol! I say these!! They are a great price, especially if you can grab them on sale, like I did. (Averaged out to ~$5/tube) and they are the same quality as I expect with other professional brands I’ve tried, which are Holbein, Schmincke, Winsor & Newton & Daniel Smith. If you love to watercolor, I think you’ll find these a delightful treat to add to your palette! Happy painting everyone!🎨🖼️😊

Ok, I'm on love!
I'm addicted to Qor water colors. It took me a few painting to understand these watercolors. Their flow and lifting are nothing like holbeins or Windsor newtons. But after a few paintings I was ADDICTED to them. Their colors are gorgeous and they have a sharp crisp transparency that gives my paintings life and movement. They are really a joy to use!

Nice way to try the line
Fast shipping and Secure packaging. Seller deserved the five stars, product would get 4 stars. Never used QOR but wanted to try this brand. Tubes are a good size and color is highly pigmented and bright- little goes a long way. The tin is a nice bonus and their Aquasol binder really makes the paint fly through water. You give up control for surprising and exciting results. My only disappointment was the Green Gold color was a mustardy green and not like other brand's prettier version of this green. Apart from that the other colors in the set were right on point and lovely. This brand does not have any granulation in their colors but they are very transparent, which is good for glazing. The price is a bit high, but the multi-pack is a good way to try them without a big expense. I will keep them for abstract watercolor projects but I doubt I'll switch from D.Smith and W&Newton brands in future. Thanks.

These pains have intense colors and resiliency!
I only recently started painting with watercolor, though I have been a fine artist for most of my 45 years. When I started learning watercolor, back in November 2023, I purchased several tubes of Windsor and Newton professional. After receiving several recommendations for QOR watercolors I decided to make the purchase. They have high vibrancy, high intensity, excellent lightfastness so far! No regrets!

So so vibrant
These paints are so lovely, rewet easily and move so beautifully in wet on wet painting. Love them.

Best used straight
I've been experimenting with different watercolor brands, just kinda seeing the differences and whatnot. I'd heard good things about QOR, so I decided to give them a try. I decided on the high chroma set because I liked the color selection in it the best.First the good:1) highly pigmented, definitely artist quality. I especially love the brightness!2) the tin they came in is hella nice.3) excellent transparencyNow the bad:1) they don't mix well. At all. Quite literally, actually, I mixed up a bit in some half pans and have been watching the colors seperate.2) they don't mix well. The warmer colors mix okay, but the rest are just... Weird. The orange and teal make green, the green gold overwhelms everything it's mixed in, and the orange and magenta actually make a really nice red.And then the.... I dunno, you decide:1) Some people like granulation, some don't. I noticed that color mixes granulate more than the actual colors themselves, which is just weird.Overall, I'm not getting anything out of these that I can't get out of other paints more reliably. They're kinda like a less good Daniel Smith watercolor. Buy those instead. (Or go for the nice honey based paints like Sennelier or M. Graham.)

Beautiful!!!
The media could not be loaded. I uploaded a video and included swatches(not live sorry) on mixed media paper. I recommend this set if you don’t have sunset/sunrise and sky/ocean colors already. The teal, green gold and Quin Gold alone make this six piece set worth it. The more water you add to each color you can take the tone down I’d say to 4 levels. I’ve mixed each color with acrylic white when I ran out of my white watercolor and they still performed beautifully (but dried very fast ). If you already have lots of golds than you can skip this because three colors in here are golden toned. you can also do a pretty ocean floor if you’re into painting coral reefs.
