DIYer using blade for cutting ceramic tile with jigsaw
I am a non-professional using this blade for cutting ceramic tile with a jigsaw. I do not own a wet saw. I have been using this blade to make more precise cuts than a manual tile cutter or nippers can make. It cuts fairly smoothly with minor chips on the tile surface. There is less chipping on the tile surface than using an angle grinder, but I don't have a porcelain saw blade for the grinder. I've experimented with this blade by with cutting the tile slowly, using a light spray of water on the blade to keep it cool, and cutting dry. The blade seems fine using any of these three methods. I have only used it for ceramic tile, not porcelain. If I do another tiling project, I'd consider getting a wet saw or a porcelain blade for the angle grinder. Ultimately, the jigsaw is a bit fussy and slow to use for tile. The blade itself seems good so far.

Great for Porcelain Tile
I've been adding a bathroom to my basement and found a fantastic 12x24 tile at the Re-Store.Great quality, porcelain, the down side of a porcelain tile is, It's Hard. Meaning you can't just cut it like a ceramic tile, you need diamond blades and bits. I started out using my Roto Zip with a diamond blade to cut out shower fixtures, and that turned out to be a chore, used a $20 diamond bit, and it took about 20 min to get the handle cut out.So when it came time to cut the toilet flange out, i went a different direction. I found this diamond jig saw blade for hard tile, perfect for my cordless jigsaw. I did a little research, you don't want to cut porcelain tile dry, all you will do is over heat the blade and dull it or even worst break it. So the trick I found was to fill a small bucket to the rim with water and place the tile on top of it so the blade goes through into the water. cut slow with moderate pressure. This blade did the job in 1/4 of the time with no effort and no dust. cut the circle out perfect! If your working with Hard Tile this is the blade for the job!

Worked flawlessly on hardiboard
I had to cut a circle of around 15in in diameter on a hardiboard (used in bathrooms as waterproof backing before installing tiles) for a mosaic project. I did a jig to ensure that jigsaw was guided all the time. The material is about 3/8 to 1/2 inch thick and this blade had no trouble cutting through it. On my first try the cut was perfectly straight however the circle was still too big and I had to cut back about a 1/4 inch. When trying to remove this little strip the blade slided laterally so the cut was not perfectly straight. I dont think this is an issue with the blade it just happens that there is little material on the outside to keep the blade straight. Lesson to be learned... cut with enough material outside the cut so it helps keeping blade straight and allow for some gap so the circle will fit in a metal enclosure.
