Here is an update to the review I left below. I originally rated this at 3 star but now I am demoting it to 1 star because zero starts in not available. One of the problems I was having with this safe (described in my original review below )is that it would not lock easily. Well, now four weeks after return window closed it stopped locking all together. I can wiggle the knob back and forth all day, does not lock! The only way to lock it is with a key and that is not easy. This safe is truly a piece of that which becomes of grass after it passes through digestive tract of a bull.*************************************************Eh... This is a solid three star safe. It is very inexpensive which is a major plus. A safe of this size and price point is not expected to be impenetrable, but it is pretty solid. I would imagine a long strong crowbar would probable pop it open, but it is not going to be easy. It will keep content safe from kids and smaller gremlins assuming you bolt it down to a strong solid surface. There is nothing "deluxe" about it by any stretch contrary to description. I would describe it "Cheap" instead. Here is why it lost two stars... When you slam the door closed ever so lightly the battery door and the batteries fall out inside the safe rendering it permanently locked until you find the key. This happened to me every time until I duct-taped the battery door. Closing mechanism is awkward and not easy. You have to turn the knob back and forth several times until it wants to engage and lock. It does not engage right away. It closes instantly only when you slam the door hard, but then the batteries fall out and you better remember where you left the keys.

The description claimed it was "waterproof and fireproof" however it had 4 holes in it - 2 in the back and 2 in the bottom. There were 2 mounting bolts but would have had to MacGuyver a way to cover the other 2. Also, I turned on a small flashlight, put it inside and shut the door. Could see the light coming out around the door.

I gave this as a gift to someone. They didn’t try to use the safe right away. But when they did, the safe has a crappy quality nob.It DOESN’T turn. And you CAN’T lock/unlock. And now I can’t even return because I am 3-4 days past the return window.This is a crappy product. Please stay away!!! I wasted my money.

Perfect size for medications passports paperwork ect. But big enough to fit several bottles of meds and a few jewellery boxes guns ect

Bought for nephew to secure his pokeman cards, some of which were previously stolen. Figured cheap little safe would work. No such luck. The keypad worked well, but something wasn't aligned right. The door would close but then you couldn't turn the lock to lock the door. The mechanism would jam and the lock pins wouldn't move out far enough to secure the door closed. Also, if the door was closed hard the batteries would fall out rendering the keypad useless. Had to return.

This product is made and ships from China. The medal box is well constructed but the door hinge is not. Also the locking components are mostly made of very cheap plastic and very difficult to operate. There seems to be a many versions of this safe on amazon but this one is just another cheap product from China. I am sending this back to Amazon as it not even worth half of the price listed. I guess you get what you pay for or in this case less.

This safe is garbage. I got it 6 days ago and have opened and closed it less than 20 times. By the 10th or so time it already became really difficult to close it, and now it's completely stuck open after less than a week of minor use, the build quality is terrible and even at such a cheap price you're wasting your money if you have to protect anything worthwhile.

Resetting the code doesn't occur like the directions say. Oh and how is this waterproof and fireproof if there is 4 large open holes in the safe?!Considering returning or going through the hassle of buying an actual lock box. You get what you pay for....

Pour y mettre des choses importantes à mes yeux. Mais il n y a pas d indication en français. Je ne comprends donc pas le fonctionnement.

Received the item in broken condition. The dial on the safe would not turn at all, so the bolts would not move allowing you to close the door properly. Don't waist your money on this.
