Deco 79 Metal Compass Armillary Globe, 17" x 14" x 25", Brass

This was the perfect accent piece for my garden projectI put it on an English rosette pedestal.Tacked it down with quake hold and the strong winds didn't budge it.Absolutely love this armillary.Built very well, came fully assembled and well packed.This is absolutely worth the $.

I've been searching for a relatively affordable armillary in dark bronze to blend with the rest of my decor for a long long time, and this one is unbelievably gorgeous. This armillary is quite large, even knowing the dimensions prior to arriving, it's "considerable presence" still took me a little by surprise, but not in an offputting way. I have substantial sized furniture so it doesn't look "out of place" but it definitely is a bold piece; for a standard table top or end table it could be too immense.I have a ton of wrought iron in my living room so another metal object of ample size isn't overwhelming. Although it easily could be in a more traditional or modern decor.I personally wanted a little bit of that "flamboyant edge" which coordinates well with my art deco/nouveau decor flair.When it arrived the arrow was pointing upwards but I prefer the look with it facing down which is simple to switch depending upon your preference; the key is to gently give it momentum until the polar ends aren't under a lot of pressure and then the ends unscrew making it easy to switch.I absolutely adore this piece. There are a couple things aesthetically that I would've preferred were incorporated into the design but you can't always get everything, especially with it being so reasonably priced. That being said, it definitely surpasses the expected quality to cost, comparatively.If you are after a bold piece that also has a subdued sort of beauty and elegance, I'd highly recommend this armillary.*If this review was informative please hit the helpful button below.

I love armillary globes and have several around my garden and in my house. By far, for the price, this is the best one I have come across. It is nice and tall...not for your desktop but for a pedestal. It has a wonderful balance and a superbly balanced ballast, in the base, where it should be. I LOVE this.

In another review for the pillar base as shown in the photo, I mentioned that I needed to find something classic-looking to spruce up a small area of the garden. This armillary sphere seemed perfect on paper, but it is outstanding in its place in my garden! It is very well-made and strikingly beautiful, looking like a true antique piece, rendered in a soft warm bronze. And even though the dimensions are clearly shown in the product description, it was truly surprising to see just how large it was as I pulled it from the box! Since this serves me as an accent piece only, I don't know how, or even if, it works as a sundial. I think you will love this sphere which will be a conversation piece whether you choose to use it inside or outside your home.

It is a centerpiece in my garden. It is attractive but slightly wobbly and I hope it will not rust like the former one I got from another company. So far I’m pleased.

The size to cost ratio is incredible. All others look reasonably sized and show up small. Thiz one is almost too big, its great. The frame is about the size of a basketball hoop, the globe is bigger than a basketball by about 20%. It's perfect. All parts that should move, move, its just the best. Love it.

Very solid product.

I thought I would have to attach this Armillary to the base as it is somewhat light for our windy yard, however, I have not had to! This is exactly what I was looking for. This combined with the Toscano Grande Plinth, adds a classic look to my new garden!
