OWACLIQ LH33ZG001 Carrier Bryant Hot Surface Ignitor

Installed on Jan 15th .. So far so good! Will buy a backup just in case ..

Bought a Honeywell generic one that ended up being about an inch longer than the OEM carrier one, such that it was almost touching the burners. Also, despite coming with several brackets, none of them worked.Bought this item, and it looks identical to the one in my Carrier heater, went in perfectly and works well. The wires are plenty long for connections, did not need to cut the old plug and splice/cap it like i did with the Honeywell generic replacement as well.

My Bryant 311AAV Plus 80 gas heater problem was actually a high limit switch that failed, but I replaced the ignitor and the flame sensor as well. This ignitor was an exact replacement for the original and easy to install. Apparently, the flame sensor and ignitor are supposed to be replaced every 4 or 5 years anyway, and it's been 11 years for me. Ignitors are more expensive than flame sensors or high limit switches. I'll just keep the original as a backup in case of total failure in the future.

our regular furnace people want to charge $330 to replace this one and I had research and studied youtube to it on my own. Carrier MVC 100 model hot surface ignitor is exactly fit and it works. saved me $300, not sure what's was wrong with the old one which I replaced. the same company replaced a part for my AC charged $250 and found out it costs less than $20 and it literally took less than 10 minutes to replace it.

I have a older gas furnace and this igniter will not work without a special bracket which was not mentioned. It may work on newer models but make sure you check before ordering. I found an original design igniter that was a drop in replacement. The reason the original design is not being promoted is because they are very fragile and most service companies do not want to handle them. And when I say fragile, I mean it............it is very easy to break !
