3rd strap in 7 years
I've had this watch for 7 years to the day and had to replace the strap twice. The original strap broke and I bought this one back in 2019. I wore it daily, 24-7 until it tore from use and age here in Feb 2023. So 4 years of use. I just bought another and then retired the watch and gave it to a friend as I got a new smartwatch. However this review is for the band, not the watch or anything else. This is a direct replacement from the original. Fits exactly like the other one and even includes the strap "lock" to keep it in place. I used my first one fore 4 years 24-7. It took 4 years to break from normal use. I'll let that sink in. Normally rubber straps break in less than a year. That shows you the durability of this strap. As I mentioned, I bought my second replacement strap recently. It was the same as the other one, a direct replacement. Went on just as easy and is serving its purpose with another owner now. If you are looking for a great direct replacement, look no further!

perfect fit
not an easy transfer from old band to new band. U need to see a u-tube video on the G-Shock band replacement for an education on replacing the band. took more time than expected and a number of gyrations to get the old band off. but getting the new band off, well that took even more creative gryations and longer time to get the thing on. once done, can't tell the difference between old and new band. watch is like new!!! and i've had it for at least a decade and change.

Exactly what I needed. A little tricky to change at first.
I purchased this band for my Casio GW530A watch and it was exactly what I needed. After years of using this watch with lots of activity and sweating at the gym, its band finally cracked at the 4th hole and it was time to replace it. I went to the store I purchased the watch from and they informed me they did not carry replacement bands. My next step was to check Amazon, which was what I should have done in the first place. I found the band being sold by Casio and offered with the PRIME option. Great! I ordered it Wednesday afternoon and received it on Friday. The band was packaged in a plastic sleeve that was labeled as a "Genuine Factory Casio Replacement Band" and it came with no instructions. It would have been nice to have some direction but it's a watch band. How hard could it be to replace?I took the band out of its package and it felt a little stiffer than my current band. It seemed to be an exact match of what I had on there and I think maybe it felt stiffer because the one I currently had on my watch was well used and worn down. I am sure this will become less stiff once it gets some good use.You need 2 small flat head screwdrivers to change this band. I didn't know that I needed 2 until I tried loosening the screw and noticed that the opposite end was spinning freely. This is where it got a little tricky. A third hand would have been nice to have because it was a little difficult to hold the watch in place while having one screwdriver stay in the tiny screw slot on one side and at the same time twisting the other end to loosen it. I am a tech and tool savvy guy but after a few frustrating failed attempts at getting these screws off, I needed a plan B. Luckily I had a small vice grip and was able to lock the watch in place so that my hands could be free to use the drivers properly. I unscrewed one end by twisting counter-clockwise and pulled the long end of the screw out and was careful to not lose the other short end. It was very small and I imagine it wouldn't be fun to look for it if it was dropped and bounced somewhere. I then repositioned the watch on the vice and did the same to the other side.It was now time to remove the bands. A little bit of twisting and pulling allowed the band to come right off, but I am warning you right now to be prepared for what could be under there lol. If you are anything like me and use the watch a lot, especially with lots of sweating and activity at the gym, you will have a not so pleasant surprise. I am a clean freak and would clean the watch off once in a while so I would not get that old sweaty smelling coming off of it. I could always smell it a little bit no matter how much I cleaned it. I now learned why. The space where the band connects to the watch was a haven for dead skin, sweat and whatever else. It was really kinda gross and I needed to scrape the gunk out with the edge of a precision cutter. At least now I know why it smelled, but the good thing about discovering this was knowing that it wouldn't smell any more. After I cleaned the gunk out of both ends I then put the new bands on. It was pretty simple. Just add a little force and wiggling and it popped right into place. I put the watch back onto the vice and replaced the screws. Start off by putting the longer screw in first and then putting the small cap end afterwards. Hold the cap end in place while spinning the opposite end (longer end) clockwise, and it was nice and secure. Repeated on the other side and the job was complete.Sorry about the detail I went into with my review, but I wanted to make sure you knew what to possibly expect if you were doing this yourself.PROS:* Exact match to the band it came with.* Genuine factory replacement.* It holds my watch to my wrist securely again.CONS:* A bit tricky to install.* Band was stiff at first (but I am sure it will change after some use)* No instructionsI am a little concerned from reading other reviews that this band might only last for about 1 year. I will update this review if I end up having any issues.

Perfect fit, easy replacement.
Like others have said before me, for each half of the band, you just need to have something to hold the watch while you use two screwdrivers to take the screws on each side of the watch out that hold the band in place on each side of the watch, and while holding one of the screws with one of the screwdrivers turn the other end of the screw with the other screwdriver and pop the screws out of each side of the watch, then pull the band out of the watch. You'll need to clean the watch when you remove the band and then place the new band in where the old one was removed, then put the screws back in. Repeat this process for the half band on the other side of the watch and you're done.

Perfect replacement
I wish they came with the T bar and screws, but they state that they don’t. Had to order from somewhere else once the screw head popped off during replacement. Great band though!

It's exactly like the original and it fits!
It took 2 orders to find the right wristband, but this was the exact duplicate of the one on the original watch. The old one lasted almost 10 years and the watch has sentimental value to my husband, so I was on a mission to get this replacement wristband. Taking off the old wristband and putting on the new one was not easy when my son and I tried to do it on our own...it is not lock and load by any means. It took searching thru a couple of YouTube videos to find the right guy who was replacing this exact same watchband, and once we found the secret it was a much easier. Watch looks brand new and still works great!
