Yellow Mountain Imports American Mahjong Set, Golden Fortune with 166 Acrylic Mahjong Tiles, Inlaid Wooden Case, Racks and Other Accessories

What I liked:The care that went into shipping my set;-The Mah Jong case being in a plastic bag and nestled snuggly between 2 sturdy polyethylene end caps in a solid double layered cardboard box.-All tiles firmly wrapped in plastic and in order of types.-Wooden racks and clear pushers in separate plastic sleeves.The tiles are beautifully bright and colorful. The etchings are well designed (polished) with no noticeable raised debri to snag on a felt playing surface. Paint filled in the etched areas of predominantly all tiles well and with uniformly.Wooden case has a beautiful eye catching design on cover along with Yellow Mountain Imports logo, the logo blends in and does not take away the beauty of the case. The well built case is velvet lined throughout, including the base of case, and has accented brass colored metal hinges, clasps that stay locked and handle. Inside the case are 5 various sized removeable velvet covered trays. 2 trays for the tiles, 2 for the 4 cherry wood racks, and one for the 4 clear pushers and other items for play.What I didn't like:- The brass end piece on the racks lift the racks about 3/32" (2.4 mm), it appears to not have a true 90°angle bent in it. This doesn't affect play but the racks do wiggle or bounce a little.The clear plastic pushers either bow away from or arch towards the racks. Believe the bow may be due how it was placed in the case since 2 bow and 2 arch.The plastic caps on the racks leave indentions in the velvet on the lid of the case. With use could possibly wear through the velvet.

It’s nice but, l thought it will be large tiles as l ordered. I am planning to return it.

In a weekly Maj group this is the set I picked out and love it! And of course, everyone in my group loves the set too. When I received the set, one of the pusher had abroken tip. But after notifying the seller, they quickly sent out a new SET of 4 pushers, so now i have backups lol. No complaints at all.

Just received this set- love the gold color and overall set is very nice. One surprise though- the acrylic tiles are a bit thinner and smaller than melamine ones in comparable sets from the same manufacturer ( i think called huntington and pepper) The tiles are shown as having same measurements as the other sets but do not.

I received my Mahjong set for my birthday. It arrived earlier than we expected, but I didn't open it until the appropriate day. The set is complete, and all fits so well in the beautiful wooden case. I have been able to show off at two of our get togethers. The tiles are lovely to handle and the 3 color was the right choice for me. Even the backs of the tiles in their bright gold look lovely against the black poker table mat where we play. The only negative comment I can offer is that the set is a little heavy to carry. But the case is so well made it is do-able. Enjoy!

This set is super nice. My mom has been a mahjong addict for a few years now and she plays online and also with friends in person, but she didn't have her own set. I got this for her for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. Great quality, worth the price.

High quality set! Like that everything gets stored in the case. No complaints.

It's a lovely set encased in a heavy wooden box. The heavy case is its downfall. It's too heavy to be easily portable when you want to carry it to a friend's house to play with. The hinges and clasps seem lightweight for the weight of the box as though they might fail with very little use. But otherwise it's a lovely set, rather on the fancy side if that's what you're looking for.
