Lacking some pretty basic features like DNS/hostname resoltuion
I really wanted to love the USG. I have had a great expereince with the UBNT switches and APs but the USG is where they recoup their money. OpenVPN setup is a joke and the inability to create local DNS entries for network devices and servers is really a show stopper for me. It attemps to keep track of WAN bandwidth, and it does seem to put out full giga bit if you dont do IDS/IPS.I had a PCEngine Alix board running PFSense and I honestly regret replacing it. I wrote some fun dash-lets for GEOIP marking firewall states. I havnt even found a way to look up States on USG.if you have even a remotely rohbust FW/WAN solution setup or if you use your current GW/FW as DNS server, you should probably stay away from this. if you have your own dedicated DNS solution then you are probably ok. I stood up "pi-hole' but it didnt support DHCP on different vlans, so i was hosed on all fronts on this move.
