My saw is the P4018. This part kit fit it perfectly. When I started taking off the old carb, the fuel hoses just started breaking apart. The kit had plenty of hoses to work with. I cut the end of the hoses at a really sharp angle to go through from the carb area into the fuel tank. They are interference fit so you have to work with them quite a bit. I used a long pair of hemostats. I closed the two jets H/L all the way and opened them up 1 turn. Saw started right up. I just needed to tweak the L about and half turn counterclockwise and the H about a half turn clockwise. Little tweaks at a time. Patience. This was the first time I had done this with a chainsaw.

The media could not be loaded. Seems like a great carb so far! Deducted a star because the included air filter wasn’t the right size. Did require a little tuning with the included splined driver and a Phillips screwdriver to adjust idle speed. Now my cheap Poulan saw is running like a champ again!

The carburetor was almost a perfect fit for my Poulan 4218A chainsaw. Only a little trimming needed on the rod that actuates the second butterfly valve so it wouldn't interfere with the cover. With a few minor adjustments to hi and low mixture and curb idle stop, and it was up and running again like a champ. A decent, affordable solution to get around the original carburetion problems. Good quality, affordable price, and timely delivery! Very happy with the results. :)

Fixed my fathers old wild thing Paulan. Be aware there's multiple models of this chain saw. I bought the wrong one first. This one fit perfect and when dialed in, is a rip roaring wood cutting beast. This fits the dual left on/off choke one. I almost gave up fixing this chainsaw.

I have bought several carb kits for lawnmowers, chainsaws, weedeaters, and such. Maybe I have been really lucky with all of those other purchases but I never had to adjust the sparkplug gap or the settings on the carb before this purchase. This is a great kit with tons of fuel line and everything you need including the tool to adjust the carb. After I watched 3 Youtube vids on tuning a 4018 Wild Thing carb (Poulan) I figured out that I had to open the low side of this carb just to get gas to the motor to get it started. After I figured that out and set the idle I proceeded to the high side to adjust that side too. Now the chainsaw runs perfectly. My fault for assuming these were set at the factory. I would have given it all 5's if it had showed up pre set. You live and you learn.

This kit has everything you need to tune up your chainsaw. Plenty of length on the fuel lines. Carb adjustment isn't to hard. I still have to do some fine tuning. Overall, it was a very easy fix.

Exactly what I needed, pushed primer bulb couple of times and saw took off, the splined adjusting tool was greatly appreciated!
