Really sharp! quite heavy tho!
I was looking for a All-in-one kinda deal for my GH5 and I must say that this lens is really good. It's sharp, heavy enough to give you a good grip and stabilization and it can be used for almost everything, from Vlogging to landscape photography to portraits. However, it is not perfect. This lens will not do great on low light situations when it comes to stills because it's not a fixed aperture, the iris will shrink when zooming in, but you can get around when making videos. The zoom ring is really smooth, but it is hard to zoom in when pointing upwards due to how heavy the glass is. The same happens when zooming out when pointing downwards. I also noticed that it will zoom in and out on it's own if you let go of the zoom ring if you're poiting up or down. Gravity will do its trick.I dont have any pics taken with this lens here, but I will update this review and upload some for you to see.Bottom line is, I would recommend this lens to anyone who likes to travel with only one lens insted of several primes.

Best multipurpose lens
This lens is perfectly portable and perfect for when I go on bird trail hikes. Autofocus is very fast but I often get missed shots if there is not a lot of color contrast such as trying to capture a flying seagull on a cloudy day. my Olympus omd e1 mark ii is capable of 24 megapixels but using this lens photos come out 16 megapixel. I do not really notice the difference. Sometimes I forget this is not the pro version because the photos come out so sharp.

I am happy and disappointed 3.5 stars
This Olympus M.Zuiko 12-200mm came available just before my trip to Europe, the zoom range gave me the flexibility to use this lens most of the time. Admittedly I did use the lens on my Panasonic GH5 and GX85 not an Olympus camera, I was however expecting good and quick focus. Almost 15% of the pictures I took were soft or out of focus; some of that I can blame on Panasonic’s focusing system but with my Panasonic lenses it was about 5%. It was rare that I would get a good sharp picture zoomed in past 180mm, granted my photos were hand held and the lens has no internal stabilization, none the less my 100-300mm came out sharper hand held at full zoom. The lens focused slower than all my Panasonic lenses which caused my run and gun open top bus tour very frustrating. My attempts at video were even worse; I would not recommend it for that use. I was very satisfied with the color reproduction of the lens until I got into low light which is expected for a F3.5-6.3 Lens. When it rained the lens got even softer, condensation I assume. I am keeping the lens because of its flexibility for general purpose use, I would recommend a tripod for use past 100mm. Because of the cons, I give it 3.5 stars. A fair price for the lens would be $799.00, it is getting closer all the time.Pros:Best in class for zoom range 12-200mm, 16.6x zoomBest in class for its weight and body length in its zoom range.Available as Amazon Prime deliveryCons:Slow auto focus on Panasonic camerasNot on the list from Olympus for firmware updatesI have been unable to see Peeking focus using this lensStiff zoom ring past 150mmZoom ring the opposite direction of Panasonic lensesNo internal stabilizationNo manual focus switch on lensPrice without stabilizationWeather sealing questionableLens sharpness at full zoom?

The perfect travel lens for M 4/3
The 16x zoom means I will not be changing lenses very often on my scheduled July trip to Africa, especially since I might be in a dusty environment at times. Also being weather sealed is a definite plus as we will be going to Victoria Falls. The shots I have taken with it focused fast and were quite sharp. The only downside is the stiff zoom ring which I got used to in short order. Zooming in or out with the lens straight out is ok. Zooming out while pointed up is near impossible as is zooming back (in) while pointed down. It is an issue I'm willing to live with due to its specs and convenience. I highly recommend it.

No need for any other lens!
My favorite lens by far! This wide lens makes it so I don’t need my standard lens or my telephoto lens anymore! I haven’t taken this lens off my camera since I purchased it and the pictures come out amazing; worth every penny.
