Good value proposition for intermittamt intense browsing from more than one fixed location.
Once you accept that no cellular network connection is likely to be as reliably buffer-free as a fixed wired connection, this is the device to use unless you want to be beholden to your domestic carrier's policies about acting as a local hot spot or find yourself texting at a throttled speed because of local traffic, especially that of individual users on phones branded by the carrier with the best GSM signal (which is what the Mighty WiFi claims to seek out on behalf of their pre-paid users). Because I'm connecting up https:// via a cellular phone carrier wave with individual prepaid usage depletion, I am able to avoid the extra layer of expense and self-imposed throttling via the use of a VPN because I feel relatively safe not having to use a VPN to transact or at least investigate the balances and activities in my accounts.During the few times I've had communication with Customer Service, most recently around the end of April as I was traveling in California and returning to New York, and then over Fourth of July to Houston, Customer Service has been very responsive including prompt e-mails from Adam outside of his posted after-hours coverage times beyond M-F 9 AM to 6 PM when calls are taken at the company office.ONE IMPORTANT POINT FOR TRAVELERS TO REMOTE AREAS: My Mighty-WiFi device SEEMS to look for a viable signal but lets me the battery all the way down without showing one if I'm searching without any positive pre-paid balance on the account. After discussing troubleshooting over the phone, I took the chance and added 50 GB to find that, yes, there was service at a major New York City airport and also at the biggest airport in Houston. But what if I were overseas and unsure of the existence of any coverage or how far beyond the airport it might extend? Why should I have to load up 50 bucks or more of pre-paid credit that would expire before I got back home only to learn that there was inadequate service to support the MightyWiFi? My Customer Service consultant Adam understood this issue without my having to explain it more than once and agreed to take it up with the software engineers. I really appreciate hearing that rather than the typical big telco response when they don't even try to comprehend an issue and blame me for any problems in their networks. I didn't, however, get an equally warm reception to my suggestion that a TS-9 port be added to the device to allow those of us with a penchant for truly challenging the limits of cell signal availability to be able to make a direct coupling to an external antenna and signal amplifier because inductive couplings simply lose too many dB of signal in the first place to make what's left worth amplifying.Bottom line: Given that 85% of my usage is from one location in Manhattan on an intermittent basis that is unpredictable and it's pay as you go, this is a better economic deal for me than even the most basic high speed wired connection. Sure, the radio wave connection can be frustrating at times, but that's offset by the fact my other 15% of usage is for what I used to carry a 3G USB stick for which was being able to at least send and receive e-mail if not more from right in my car pretty much anywhere. That got to be too expensive to maintain on an unlimited basis or else once every few months get an extraordinary high bill from Verizon because I had watched some video.IN SUM: If your usage is similar to what I've described as mine, DON'T HESITATE AND JUST GET IT NOW! The company's young enough to still give a shit about the customer experience, and I expect interface and the overall experience to continue to improve. With the current initial airtime promo, THIS IS A GREAT INITIAL BUY - just know as I didn't that you can't just take it out of the box and use it without having the company help with your initial set-up, so plan to do that during the week and during the day for the first time you plan to get on line with the MightyWiFi. (Put the unit in the window for a good signal because there's plenty of wireless range over the 2.4 GHz built-in router back to your laptop or other device.)

Why Are You Here? You Can Get Much Better
Update 07192022: Heard from the MightyWifi Customer Care and they have insisted on providing a correction that should be reflected in the review. They now standy by their claim that I was sold a real 4G LTE device. That was almost good news. The new reason for dropping ALL support for the device was due to their "IT network connectivity." As a customer that excuse is vague and ambiguous. The hotspot was pretty new and very expensive. Caveat emptor. Never again.----- -----MightyWifi sold me a 4G LTE puck device. It says 4G in the description and on the back. Well they ended use and support for my device when 3G transmissions were taken out commission. They told me that my device is a really 3G device when it was sold and says 4G on it. Yes, I have this mistake in writing! Yes, I have notified people who are interested in this kind of misrepresentation and they will be hearing from my case. Due diligence here. Stay away from this outfit.

Very impressed and thankful.
I never usually write reviews but this definitely deserves it!!First let me tell you about my struggles. I moved to a very rural area of MA from a very highly populated area. When I moved out here I had 3 internet providers come out only to tell me that there is no way to get internet where I live due to the trees, so I jumped on amazon to try to find somewhat of a solution. That's when I found this. To be totally honest I didnt gave high Hope's because of all the issues I've had with getting internet out here. So I messaged the support and they told me I'd have coverage. So I purchased this right away!!!When I first got the device I was so excited to try it. I unboxed it and plugged it in to charge and the charger broke! I could of sworn it was a bad omen so I got very nervous to try it. Customer service told me I could disconnect the cord and use any micro USB charger and that fixed it. Different parts of my house have different signal strengths but it DOES WORK IN MY HOUSE!!!! I FINALLY HAVE INTERNET AGAIN.Yes it can lag, and at times it does buffer between shows but I have absolutely no issues with waiting and playing with it to make it work. I'm a super happy customer and my kids and I thank the guys at Mighty wifi whole heartedly for giving us some normalcy! We didnt even have cable out here so it's been a struggle to keep 4 kids under 5 occupied when I need an hour to clean and now they can watch TV!Thank you!!!!!!!!
