Thoughtfully designed
I compared the TowWorks P/N 79631 with the AUTMATCH Trailer Hitch Lock, P/N MHL002C. Both appear to be quality products and similar in their design and construction. Both have a safety pin feature that supplies extra protection in case the lock head goes missing. I specifically wanted this feature and ruled out many others that did not have it.The advantage of the AUTMATCH is that it has a slightly longer usable width of 89mm compared to 82mm on the TowWorks. This allows it to fit some receivers that the TowWorks won’t. However, I must point out that TowWorks has a larger 798xx series that has a usable width of 114mm.The advantages of the TowWorks are:(1) the lock head grips the shaft with three ball bearings compared with only two ball bearings in the AUTMATCH. To me, this is a more secure way of holding the lock to the shaft.(2) the shaft diameter is larger, 7mm compared to 6.5mm, at the narrow area where the ball bearings grip the shaft. To me, assuming the metal used in the two locks is the same quality, the added diameter of the TowWorks in this area improves its resistance to brute force attacks, i.e., sledgehammers.I ended up keeping the TowWorks and am returning the AUTMATCH for the aforementioned reasons.

Don’t use pin as tow end.. lol
Used all spacer rings to prevent rattles, had same one for a few years until I used it to pull someone out of a ditch, used strap, hooked it to the actual tow pin cause didn’t have hitch with me and it snapped it in two, my bad.. o well, got a new one.. lol

Solid construction
Excellent quality appears to be one solid piece, unlike other products

Works great
Works great! Well built, smooth operation. The only issue we had was the sticker peeled of during install and removal; at one point binding up removal of the pin. Not major... now with the decal completely removed it installs and removes smoothly.

Solid buy. Works as intended and has held up nicely.
I have had a few different styles of these from different manufacturers, this one is one of the better ones. I have had this now for a few years and it has held up very nicely. The cap that covers the lock has stayed in place and has kept corrosion out of the lock portion. The whole thing has held up nicely to the elements, it has been exposed to rain, snow, and salt, and thus far is not corroded and still comes apart and connects very easily. If I ever needed another one of these, I would definitely buy this one again.

Class V Tow Hitch Lock
Arrived quickly within two days. If you need extra rubber washers for spacing or vibration dampeing (they provided a good amount extra), I found that flat hose washers work well.

Nothing stolen
Not sure if hitch step was not stolen because this works, or someone did not try. No issues with lock freezing after nearly three years. Opened no problem when I needed to get it off. Grime from hitch after all those years was more of the issue in removal, but nothing a bit of force and some pliers couldn't solve.

Worked great!
Bought an adjustable Rhino brand hitch that was missing the locking pins. Called twice for help from Rhino, with no callback or help. Found these and they fit perfectly since you need about 3 1/8” of usable pin length for the adjustable part. Saved my trip and working great!
