These latches have a really nice smooth action and are well worth the added cost over cheaper alternatives. They ARE also reversible , even if at first it seems the end of the latch does not want to turn - I’d read on here it just needs a little more force and that proved true. Would highly recommend this latch!

Well made and fit for purpose.One thing though, the one I was replacing had a rotatable catch and this one was fixed. Seller could therefore tell you left or right.Beware too like for like it's not quite. It's slightly bigger than my old one and required some drilling to make the channel it sits in bigger.I was able to swap another door lock/latch and used the fixed one I bought on a door it was ' handed for '.

Purchased for an unsprung door and this works really well. The pack contains different colour face plates in a small packet which should suit all. I did not realise this initially but when I asked the seller came back to me immediately which i really appreciated.Good quality and would definately recommend

This latch arrived the day before the earliest date predicted, and is much sturdier and more strongly sprung than the ones from a certain over-priced chain DIY enterprise. This enables me to eliminate sprung lever handles which go wrong periodically, and use unsprung brass door knobs from Wilko instead.Unlike the cheap ones, the plate on the doorpost that the latch clicks into has some bendable bits on the edge of the hole, which allow tightening so that the door is now firmly closed against the doorpost.

I have noticed some reviews say this product is nor reversible and only fits one way.The latchbolt is fully reversible by twisting the brass bevelled latchbolt 180 deg on the end of the tubular latch BEFORE FITTING. Once the tubular latch is fitted and the decorative faceplate attached then the latchbolt will no longer turn.

Great latch, but the catch does not rotate on this product and this is not clear. Can only be fitted to doors that opens forwards (out of the bedroom) and if the handle is on the left of the door.Good latch though

The tongue is reversible but not manually. You will need a stout pair of pliers or similar to do it. Twist the tongue into place before assembly. Neither is it obvious so a point off the manufacturer for not telling us. Otherwise, a good sturdy product.

This was a direct replacement for a failed tubular mortice lock, which was always rather stiff and hard to turn. It eventually ground to a halt, and once taken out it was clear it had fallen apart. This replacement has a double spring - one for the latch, the other, much stronger, for the handles, and it works fine. IMHO it's much better paying perhaps double for something that should last five times as long. Recommended.
